Healthcare organization located in Midtown Manhattan is seeking to hire a Temporary Human Resources Assistant. This position will start ASAP for 2-3 months with flex to extend. This role will require 5 days on site. Hours are 9am-5pm with 1 hour of unpaid lunch (35 hours). Hourly rate up to $25/hr DOE.

Responsibilities:

• Provide administrative support to the Human Resources Department, which includes: answering phones, directing inquiries, resolving routine issues, and responding to general requests for information and materials
• Assist with database management and assisting with transferring information to new databases
• Responsible for clearances data entry and follow up
• Perform clerical tasks, including: creating Photo IDs, photocopying, data-entry, distribution of departmental mail, and preparing mailings
• Assist with agency audits by preparing personnel files and verifying data as needed
• Process invoices for departmental expenses
• Provide project support to HR staff
• Assist with new staff training, benefits education/enrollment meetings and other department meetings
• Perform other department or agency-related duties or special projects as directed

Qualifications:

• Degree required
• 1+ years prior administrative experience preferably out of HR
• Must have excellent verbal and written communications skills
• Knowledge of MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel) required
• Attention to detail and outstanding organization skills
• Strong interpersonal skills
• Customer service mentality
• Versatility to handle varied workload and competing demands
