Mission Control is the organization responsible for end-to-end workforce planning, technical onboarding, and resource allocations for all technical departments at Facebook. We work with stakeholders and partners across the company to accomplish our mission of planning and shaping Facebook's technical workforce. This is a people manager opportunity for the Onboarding team within Mission Control. The manager will lead a team of high performing program managers responsible for delivering the strategy and execution of team selection (internal team placement) in the tech organization. This position will work closely with peer managers, as well as cross-functional teams and leaders in Engineering, Analytics, Recruiting, HR, and Tooling. This manager will be accountable to strategize, plan, and execute team selection globally, deliver initiatives as it aligns with program visions, balancing individual experiences with Facebook's company priorities, and grow and manage a team.

<ul><li>People Management - Manage a team of 4+ Program Managers, identify growth opportunities, develop their skills, and build development plans. Grow and maintain a high performing team through hiring, onboarding, mentoring, developing and coaching program managers</li><li>Organizational Health - Create frameworks for organizational health, people management, and operational excellence in areas such as team organization, project and portfolio management, partner and stakeholder communications, and career development and project alignment. Design and maintain scalable organization in an ambiguous and fast paced environment</li><li>Operational Excellence - Lead the implementation of policy, process, communications or product optimizations for team placement to ensure the process is efficient and scales</li><li>Portfolio and Client Leadership: Develop and implement team placement strategies in partnership with TECH Leaders, and identify opportunities to prioritize business needs with incoming talent. Develop a roadmap to align with company priorities, identifying gaps, risks. Build strong cross-functional partnerships with Product, Engineering, Recruiting, HRBPs, People Operations and People Analytics and communicate progress and shifts to leadership and partners. Maintain full visibility of project statuses and potential roadblocks across the portfolio, support resolution of cross team risks, enable program intersections, integrated processes, and goals</li><li>Data Analysis - Analyze program health data, and provide insights and perspectives that shape multi-year strategies to meet team placement goals and long-term business needs. Identify talent patterns and work with workforce planning to forecast critical company talent gaps, and align with specialized development leaders to inform the internal mobility training strategy</li><li>Vision - Shape the hiring manager and internal candidate experience vision, identify systemic issues. Influence the design and improvement lifecycle for scaling an equitable hiring experience that offers choice, autonomy, and efficiency. Bring new ideas to the team placement process, new ways to connect talent to prioritized demand, create new mechanisms to define or consolidate talent pipelines, and structure a talent connection framework. Be responsible for the efficacy of our team placement model from strategy through to execution</li><li>Diversity & Inclusion & Equity - Incorporate DEI program priorities, capabilities, offerings and best practices into the team placement model</li><li>Influence Change - Oversee the design and implementation of communication plans for change management and collaborate with cross-functional teams to influence adoption and utilization. Develop and maintain working relationships and deliver business results</li><li>Team Placement Tooling (Product) - Influence the functionality and components of a recruiting/talent acquisition system from a hiring manager and candidate perspective. (e.g., talent profiles, engagement models, supply/demand insights)</li></ul>

<ul><li>3+ years experience as a People Manager</li><li>5+ years experience in portfolio, program, or project management with a focus on systems integration and change management in a rapidly changing environment</li><li>Analytical, problem-solving, organizational experience</li><li>Experience digging into data analysis for data driven decision making</li><li>Proven success in managing long term, complex programs at a global scale</li><li>Experience managing multiple projects simultaneously and working autonomously in a fast-paced ambiguous environment</li><li>Experience influencing technical and non-technical partners</li><li>Proven communication and interpersonal skills, including relationship building and collaboration with cross-functional and leadership teams</li><li>Experience consulting with partners to proactively define business problem statement, conduct a need analysis and develop recommendations to improve the business</li><li>Experience building a high performing team which includes hiring, onboarding, mentoring, developing and coaching program managers</li></ul>
