We are currently hiring for a Wet Brake Mechanic.

Hours are 2:30PM - 1AM (Monday - Friday) optional 4 day work-week

*Saturdays, Sundays, Holidays and overtime as required.

The purpose of this position is to tear down, clean, inspect and rebuild heavy equipment wet brake components as defined in work order and ISO process instructions.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Safely and accurately inspect parts by visually examining for defects and deformities, using precision measuring equipment to check tolerances according to OEM
  • Move parts by operating overhead cranes, carts and lift trucks
  • Reading technical drawings and schematics to disassemble and reassemble components based on parts and service manuals
  • Perform tasks with use of gas torch, welders, hydraulic rams, presses, electric and pneumatic powered torque wrenches, and various other tools
  • Adhere to all health, safety and environmental policies and procedures

EXPERIENCE NECESSARY:
  • 1-2 years mechanical experience or equivalent (preferred)
  • Willing to train the right person, mechanically minded and willing to learn

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES:
  • Demonstrate accuracy working in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to follow established procedures/practices, interpret instructions/blueprints, etc.
  • Aptitude in safe use of mechanical tools and precision measuring tools used to perform job duties
  • High school diploma or GED required, comparable trade school or apprenticeship experience a plus
