If you are looking for an entry level position in commercial real estate finance, the below opportunity may be for you.

This position will provide closing support to the Closing Officers on Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac small balance loans with emphasis on data management, due diligence review, and document preparation.

What you will be doing:

  • Managing receipt of due diligence and ensure all necessary participants receive copies.
  • Assisting with drafting commitments.
  • Preparing escrow analyses.
  • Preparing reconciliation of application fee and third-party costs.
  • Preparing C&D commitments on Fannie Mae deals.
  • Generating accounting workbooks for review by Closing Officer and coordinate with Loan Funding and the warehouse lender to set loans up for funding.
  • Ensuring that data in New Horizon is complete and accurate throughout the process.
  • Ensuring that documents needed within 48 hours for loan set up are received and placed in the Servicing Deliverables folder. Follow up with counsel if documents are not received by required deadline.
  • Preparing ASAP submissions on Fannie Mae deals and provide necessary information and back up support to the Early Funding Desk.
  • Reviewing C&D and the final 4662 before submission of the loan for securitization to ensure accuracy and consistency.
  • Tracking and follow up on post-closing requests from Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac.
  • Ensuring that relevant vendors receive payment in a timely manner.
  • Other duties as assigned.


The education and experience we're looking for:
  • Bachelor's degree required
  • 1+ years of experience in commercial real estate, finance, title work, and/or paralegal studies preferred

  • Ability to work as a part of a team, while providing a strong individual contribution.

  • Strong working ability with Microsoft Office applications, including Word and Excel.

  • Courtesy, respect, and thoughtfulness in teaming with colleagues and other stakeholders.
