Wastewater Operator/Water Treatment Technician, Bilingual We are currently seeking a Wastewater Technician /Wastewater Operator for our manufacturing facility to help us to comply with prescribed safety procedures or federal laws regulating waste disposal methods at our Napa, CA area facility.

In addition to requirements/qualifications listed in the attachments, this position requires a high school diploma or equivalent and 6 months of experience in an applicable role/environment.
What You Will Be Doing In essence, this WW Operator will treat and test our waste water before it goes to the city.

Experience testing water quality, maintaining acceptable levels, working with reporting agencies, local, state and nationwide, are all a big part of this role.

Role Duties will include:
"Monitor and record all flows at the wastewater to the treatment plant, including plant influent and effluent flows.
"Perform sampling and process control testing to maintain proper levels of flows, waste/return sludge rates, solids inventory and solids mass balances.
"Perform routine maintenance of valves, pumps, piping and related equipment necessary for the operation and maintenance of the treatment of waste water.
"Assist in repair of broken piping and related appurtenances and equipment in the collection system.
"Assist in performing sewer service line connection inspections.
"Assist with sludge management plan.
"Perform general housekeeping and grounds keeping duties.
"Other duties as may be required or assigned, including assisting other departments to achieve assigned tasks.
What You Need for this Position We are currently looking for an apprentice level/ Class C certified Industrial Waste Water Treatment Operator who is willing to work in an industrial plant setting for a local manufacturer.

We would like those who are Bilingual: English/Spanish fluency.

EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS/QUALIFICATIONS

"High school diploma or General Equivalency Diploma (GED).
"A minimum of 6 months to 2 years of Industrial Wastewater experience in related processes. MORE EXPERIENCE WOULD BE A PLUS
"Class C Physical/Chemical Waste Water Operator License Required
"Seeking those with experienced use of testing equipment and various chemicals, etc. in an environment that includes various odors, high noise levels, heat/cold, large tanks/equipment and large quantities of water.
"Ability to use various hand tools, pH meter, and water hardness tester.
"Requires the ability to lift 50 lbs.
"Ability to read, analyze and understand various directives and regulations of federal, state and local regulatory agencies.
"Ability to read and interpret blueprints of the sanitary sewer collection system and wastewater treatment facility.
"Ability and mechanical skill to perform maintenance tasks within the treatment facility and in the collection system.
"Ability to stay updated with new EPA required testing and new lab tests and equipment.
"Knowledge and appreciation of safety requirements regarding handling of hazardous chemicals.


Exposure to loud noise levels, dust, heat in boiler room and cold and various chemicals while in plant area (lubricants, cutting fluids, drawing oils). Stooping, reaching, climbing ladders and stairs. Safety shoes, earplugs and safety glasses are a requirement to be worn at all times while in the plant.
