This position will be based in Ogden, UT (work onsite).

What you will be doing:

Warehouse Associate I is a universal warehouse position that demonstrates a well-rounded understanding of all basic warehouse functions. Primary responsibilities include receiving, cycle counts, return to inventory and quality assurance, sales order fulfillment, warehouse maintenance and safety. Daily responsibilities will vacillate depending on the particular needs of the Distribution Center as detailed below.


  • Participate in the unloading and receipt of inbound transfers

  • Assist with putting away of newly received product

  • Run all lift and warehouse equipment (forklift, walkie stacker, reach truck, pallet jack, and hand truck) with proficiency

  • Ensure that all equipment is charged and/or fueled sufficiently

  • Assist with daily inventory cycle counts and physical inventories as directed; Return-to-Inventory (RTI) product to process and reapply hang tags, labels, and poly bags as necessary prior to returning to inventory; and quality assurance on inbound product as necessary

  • Pick assigned sales orders for packing based on that day's priorities, and deliver to appropriate area in DC

  • Pack product for shipping using the most efficient process and economical packaging while minimizing in-transit damage

  • Ship product in the most efficient and economical manner according to customers preferred ship method and guidelines

  • Assist with relocation and storage of non-inventory items

  • Ensure that pick lines are fully stocked to meet order fulfillment demand and timely processing of return to inventory product

  • At the end of each day and as needed periodically during the day: restock 'each' pick bins as necessary; remove empty cartons from the warehouse aisles; stock the empty cartons for use where needed or bring them to the recycle bin as appropriate; and collect empty pallets to move to pallet storage area

  • Dust and/or mop the warehouse aisles at the end of each day and remove loose trash, slash guards and other debris

  • Follow safe work practices as prescribed by managers, and as described by the Safety Manual and Safety Committee

  • Participate in company committees and team functions, as appropriate


Skills needed to be successful in this role:

  • An independent thinker, requiring little direct supervision

  • Ability to process detailed information accurately

  • Basic math calculation and analytical skills


Minimum Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED)

  • Have or be able to acquire operator certification on all mechanized pallet handling equipment in use at Osprey

  • Fundamental experience with Microsoft Office suites: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook (or similar e-mail system)

  • Effective oral and written communication skills, excellent social skills and good literacy skills

  • Must be a minimum of 18 years of age

  • Authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis


Preferred Qualifications:

  • College level coursework or degree
