Position Overview:

The Digital team is dedicated to developing and commercializing digital offerings that help our customers achieve better surgery outcomes, better care team experiences, better patient experiences at lower total cost per treatment.


Key Responsibilities:

In this role, you will lead clinical, operational, and economic evidence generation for the digital solutions across the Intuitive ecosystem.  This position will work with customers and surgical societies as well as a range of internal teams to quantify the impact of our digital solutions.

The ideal candidate will have both a technical and medical background with experience in developing and commercializing digital products within the healthcare environment.

You will be part of a rapidly growing business within Intuitive responsible developing impactful digital and data products and successfully integrating them into the hospital workflow.

You will work with an amazing global team of brilliant engineers, scientists, doctors who are passionate about our mission to improve the lives of patients in all that we do.

You will report directly to our Chief Digital Officer having exposure to senior executives and Chief Officers around the globe.

Role and Responsibilities:  

  • Build and manage a team of individuals with medical and scientific background for building evidence around the impact of Intuitive digital solutions 
  • Work collaboratively with medical liaisons, internal annotation team and ML scientists to enhance clinical and operational workflows
  • Provide medical and scientific input across cross-functional initiatives within the Digital business. 
  • Ability to inspire and build effective relationships with C-suite, peers, and ability to attract and retain a team by leading with inclusion and diversity that will motivate people to produce their best work.  
  • Build relationships and demonstrate the benefits of Intuitive digital products to thought leaders, medical groups, societies, KOLs and health systems globally.
  • Work closely with customers during the development of digital solutions 
  • Collaborate with clinical affairs to design and execute retrospective and prospective clinical studies to establish the impact for solutions providing clinical decision support
  • Collaborate with marketing teams throughout the organization to establish clear messaging for the customer on the clinical and operational value of Intuitive Digital Solutions


Education and Experience:

  • A minimum of a bachelor’s degree in a medical/scientific field is required. MSc, PhD or MD and/or equivalent work experience is preferred. 
  • Extensive managerial experience. Preference will be given to candidates with demonstrative experience supporting and growing teams.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills (in English), including the ability to present to groups of varying sizes (virtual and face to face). 
  • Proven track record of success in establishing and maintaining relationships with KOLs.
  • Preference will be given to candidates with previous experience working in medical education.
