Job Description
The Chemistry Department of Wellesley College invites applications for a full-time Visiting Lecturer position in Chemistry and Biochemistry for the 2023-2024 academic year. Applicants should have a broad background in chemistry and strong teaching, writing, and interpersonal skills. While ideal candidates will be prepared to teach lecture and/or laboratory sections of organic chemistry, candidates may also be involved in other areas of the curriculum, including introductory chemistry and biochemistry courses.

Wellesley College is a highly selective liberal arts college for women with approximately 2300 students located in the Boston suburbs. For the past decade, the NSF has consistently ranked us as one of the top two liberal arts colleges nationally in terms of generating female Ph.D.'s in STEM fields. The successful applicant will have a strong background in chemistry and experience teaching undergraduates. Preference will be given to candidates who have completed a Ph.D. or equivalent degree by the time of appointment, although candidates who are ABD will be considered.
