The Vice President of Hospitality is responsible for leading the execution of exceptional business standards with regard to guest experience, operations, talent development, and financial performance. The Vice President of Hospitality is the 'hospitality driver', retention owner and source of inspiration for the team. The VP of Hospitality is responsible for developing and maintaining strong relationships with our partners, associates, management teams and Home Office instilling the appropriate blend of Partner and Levy culture and business philosophies to deliver unparalleled guest experiences.




Role Specifications:

Partner & Customer Focus

  • Identifies and shapes strategic initiatives to improve the service to partners and guests alike
  • Ensures an understanding of partner and guest needs is incorporated into strategic thinking and planning
  • Leads development of new concepts, services and experiences at location
  • Leads account management and retention strategies for location
  • Monitors the local marketplace to identify and support opportunities for new business



Developing Winning Teams
  • Empowers, challenges and supports managers to lead their teams
  • Personally coaches and mentors the location talent
  • Plans and manages talent resources to support growth
  • Ensures objective and pro-active talent and succession planning activity
  • Drives cross-business team working to build understanding and synergy
  • Maintains a positive, winning spirit and role models personal resilience


Building Strong Relationships
  • Builds strategic networks with kay partners to add value to the business
  • Develops influencing strategies which take account of the partner organizations culture and dynamics
  • Demonstrates personal gravitas in partnering with senior location stakeholders
  • Manages complex contract negotiations to balance a range of conflicting objectives and achieve win-win outcomes
  • Acts as a role model for open, honest and effective communication


Seeing the Bigger Picture
  • Broad and detailed understanding of the Company's strategy
  • Identifies medium and long term trends which will shape strategy at the location
  • Leads the team to think broadly and flexibly about the strategic opportunities and challenges facing the business
  • Shows the confidence and courage to challenge and influence wider business strategy
  • Articulates a clear vision of 'where we are going' to build understanding and support
  • Empowers the team to monitor progress against strategy and take appropriate corrective action where needed


Innovating and Improving
  • Interprets and analyzes a range of business information, in partnership with our analytics team, to identify strategic opportunities for improvement/growth
  • Manages change and continual evolution of location proposition
  • Manages the load on the business by prioritizing change and cutting out unnecessary activity
  • Uses an in depth understanding of change management to deliver major change projects
  • Leads activity aimed at sharing innovation in line with the Company's 'Bright Ideas'


Delivering Results
  • Develops performance frameworks for the location in (e.g. KPIs, Scorecards)
  • Utilizes data and analytics to evaluate commercial opportunities and risks
  • Understands the commercial frameworks we operate within
  • Leads thinking on innovative new commercial model development
  • Makes sound commercial decisions, which recognize a range of complex factors and ambiguities
  • Holds team accountable for delivering on performance metrics


Requirements


  • Develops performance frameworks for the location in (e.g. KPIs, Scorecards)
  • A minimum of 10 years Food and Beverage Management experience at a Director of Operations/General Manager level in a sports and entertainment atmosphere
  • 2 years' experience preferred at a Vice President level
  • Experience managing a high volume operation
  • Proven ability to lead and develop a team
  • Budgeting, forecasting, sales experience preferred
  • Ability to communicate effectively in written format and oral presentations
  • Ability to multi-task and establish priorities
  • Ability to maintain structure, results and morale in a changing environment
  • Exhibits initiative, responsibility, flexibility and leadership.
