CUMULUS MEDIA | Westwood One, New York, NY is looking for a finance executive with a results-oriented management style whose career includes significant financial and operational accomplishments, including a strong background in analyzing data to produce objectively-supported recommendations. This position is for a proactive leader with the ability to identify key issues, define corrective actions, and drive to resolution and accountability.

This position requires tremendous skill interacting with senior sales and management. This person provides insights and rationale for various business decisions along with requisite financial data inherent with the position. This includes ad-hoc reporting and developing new business models as required by senior sales and management and recruiting, developing, and supervising staff.

The Vice President, Financial Planning & Analysis for Westwood One is the lead financial executive responsible for supporting Westwood One. This role reports directly to the Vice President, Finance for Cumulus Media and on a dotted-line basis to the President of Westwood One.

Key Responsibilities:

• Overall management of the Westwood One annual budgeting and biweekly forecasting processes, including development of revenue and expense targets with WWO senior leaders and internal reporting of results
• Decision support for the President of Westwood One, the President of Westwood One Sales, the Senior Vice President of Operations and other senior executives at Westwood One
• Key interface responsibility with Accounting and Corporate Financial Planning and Analysis
• Business review and financial analysis of proposed WWO contractual programming, distribution, inventory/affiliation and operational agreements
• Contribution to divisional strategic planning and M&A activities
• Participation in the development of critical reporting and analytical systems to ensure appropriate deliverables, accuracy, and adherence to best practices and audit guidelines
• Verification of daily sales activity and dissemination of that information to WWO and Corporate teams
• Professional development and growth of WWO Finance team members

Job Requirements
Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree required (MBA or CPA preferred)
• 10+ years of experience in a financial or accounting-related capacity.
• Demonstrate strong organizational and process improvement skills;
• Possess strong analytical and financial modeling skills;
• Ability to work independently and in a group setting;
• Self-starter and ability to work with minimal guidance;
• Extremely proficient in Excel and PowerPoint with a comfort level in dealing with large data sets; experience with Adaptive Insights or a similar EPM tool (e.g., Hyperion, TM1) highly desirable;
• Conversant with or demonstrated ability to quickly learn and be proficient with numerous systems (G/L, Advertising, Traffic, etc.).
• Network radio and media sales experience is a plus
• Exhibits a passion for media, entertainment, music, sports, and news/talk radio
