This position will serve as chief fiscal officer for the institution. The fiscal officer supervises all matters relating to finance and physical plant in order to ensure maximum efficiency, effectiveness, and student responsiveness.
Applicant must have a Master's degree in Business, Finance, or related field; doctorate valued. Minimum ten years supervisory experience. Higher Education experience in business or finance. Experience with overseeing construction projects and a physical plant. Understanding of community college funding and reporting requirements. Understanding of college and university accounting and preparation of financial statements. Extensive knowledge of the principles and practices of budgeting. Knowledge of purchasing practices and State of Texas bid laws. High ethical values. Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing. Basic computer skills.
The annual salary for this position is commensurate with education and experience.
This position covers health insurance at 100% for employee. Additional optional coverages include dental, vision, AD&D, life insurance, and long- and short-term disability. Other benefits include retirement under the Teacher Retirement System of Texas or Optional Retirement Program, accrued sick leave, vacation, paid holidays, and an employee reimbursement/dependent scholarship program. Health benefits require a 60-day employment period.
