Vice President - Air Freight As the VP of Air Freight, you will lead the Air Freight Division, setting strategic direction and driving execution of air freight product service offerings. This role will manage relationships with key airlines and partners to achieve customer satisfaction while maximizing productivity, efficiency and financial performance. Confirm all licensing, compliance, procurement and tech requirements are in place and dully governed. Be the primary point of contact with strategic customers with a specific focus on airfreight.
What You Will Be Doing Define, implement and execute Air Freight business development and pricing/tariff strategies to maximize profits and grow Air Freight market share
Provides a governance framework on Export, Import and Customs activities, adhere to regulations, compliance and internal procedures
Enable the organization with the applicable licenses required to successfully operate and provide the airfreight services
Acts as a key advisor to senior management on the development of overall strategies and long term goals of the organization
Drive Continuous Improvement in Process Flows for Air freight
Manage and control all margin policy and prepares monthly activity / revenue reports
Establish carrier relationships and monitor carrier performance and recommend actions for compliance failure
Implement recommendations for improved efficiency, accuracy and cost savings
Provide guidance/input on BD/Growth strategy based on market insights
Ensure proper transitioning of customer to operations in line with customer requirements and internal procedures.
Grow business from new and existing customers focused on an assigned group of trade lanes with focus on Business Customers

Team leadership that drives strong engagement and motivation of cross functional teams
Focus on continuous improvement, training, and innovation
Guide, motivate and coach the sales, pricing and operations team/s to ensure delivery of overall targets and business plans

Cross-functional Engagement
Tight collaboration with the global sales and operations leadership and Digital Marketing team under shared goals and objectives
Constant interaction with strategic partners (Logistics Provider, Neutral co-loaders, agents) to translate business reqs into SFIC initiatives and maximize digitization
Develop plans and operationalizes them at country, regional and global level - collaborate with country teams, lead in developing strategies to overcome challenges
What You Need for this Position Bachelors degree in Business Management or equivalent, Masters Degree/MBA preferred
10 years of Air Freight experience
At least 5 years in a leadership role
Experience in procurement and managing relationship with multiple AIRLINE service providers in the freight industry (local and international freight)
Air freight industry or logistics tech Start Pup ecosystem is essential
Must have current relationships with airline services
Strong people management skills
Ability to steer a start-up team towards the vision
Exposure to tech and digital online computer skills
Knowledge of business process and functions (finance, HR, procurement, operations etc.)
