Manufacturing Equipment Maintenance Technician (3rd Shift)

Position summary:

Responsible for setting up, maintaining and upgrading production and facilities equipment and systems to prevent unscheduled down time.

Shift: Monday - Friday, 10pm - 6:30am

A Day in the Life:

Make repairs or adjustments as taught by a work order or verbal request by management on all production process equipment and anything supporting production. Troubleshoot electrical, mechanical, and pneumatic systems as required. Perform preventative maintenance on a scheduled basis. Use equipment manual and documentation to troubleshoot, tune and to find part numbers to make repairs. Ability to install and calibrate temperature controllers/recorders. Walk and stand up to six (6) hours at a time, up to 12 hours a day, with frequent squatting, stooping, kneeling, bending, twisting at waist, and climbing ladders. Possess the abilities to perform the physical requirements of the assigned job as identified by the Job Safety Analysis (JSA) with or without reasonable accommodations. General physical requirements include lifting, standing, climbing and hand manipulations. Perform all duties in accordance to GMP/QSR guidelines and enforce to all relative Microbiology Division SOP's Perform all work activities in a safe manner. Arrive to work on time and work during scheduled work hours, working additional overtime as needed. Report any actual or potential safety hazards to management.

In addition, other duties may be assigned as needed.

Senior Manufacturing Equipment Maintenance Technician - 1st Shift

Position summary:

Responsible for setting up, maintaining and upgrading production and facilities equipment and systems to prevent unscheduled down time.

Shift - Monday - Friday (TBD)

A Day in the Life:

  • Installs, inspects, repairs, and maintains mechanical and electrical equipment, plumbing, and physical structures in the plant operating facility according to specifications, codes, safety requirements and company procedures.
  • Resolves defects or malfunctions.
  • Repairs and maintains all production items as noted according to blueprints, manuals, or building codes using hand tools, air tools, and power tools.
  • Operates, maintains and repairs all industrial fork trucks and lifts including propane and gasoline systems.
  • Makes and repairs structures within plant, such as steel shelving, wooden enclosures, re-routing electrical accesses as the need arises.
  • Carries out preventative maintenance programs for all plant equipment.
  • Operates TIG, MIF, gas, or arc welding equipment and assembles fabricated metal parts.
  • Maintains specified records and logs of repairs and maintenance activities.
  • Cleans immediate work area.
  • Perform all job duties and adheres to all safety policies and procedures.
  • Works on Continuous Improvement and support all PPI, Keys, and Lean projects
  • Works independently and continuously makes decisions for various quality situations in fabricating and repairing equipment.
  • Frequently works in awkward positions observing or making adjustments to machines or equipment.
Assembler II - 1st Shift

Position Summary:

The Assembler II will perform a wide variety of product assembly operations on product components, assemblies, or sub-assemblies to make crucial laboratory equipment and medical devices. They will work safely and ensure the best quality products are within specified times and drive continuous improvement in the factory.

Shift Hours:

5 day work week

6 am - 2:30 pm

A Day in the Life:
  • Select appropriate components to align and assemble them in accurate sequence by drilling holes, adding rivets, screws, bolts, braces, tape, cement or solder to meet specifications.
  • Read electrical wiring diagrams to accomplish accurate assembly.
  • Inspect parts during sub-assembly and at key points to ensure the unit meets specified quality standards prior to moving unit to the next workstation.
  • Use a wide range of hand tools, including, but not limited to drill, rivet gun, drill press.
  • Use SAP system shared plant-wide to enter product related data into computer system and track component serial numbers, scan bar codes, production rates, physical location, etc.
  • Order and retrieve supplies/materials such as cardboard, bags, and warehouse items using paper and SAP documents.
  • Troubleshoots work-related problems by applying knowledge and experience toward resolution and taking appropriate steps for assistance.
  • Test assembled units; clean and pack final product.
Requirements: (For all Roles)
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Ability to stand/sit for up to an 8-hour shift
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
