This position is located in Bentonville, AR, Reston, VA, or Atlanta, GA. Become an integral part of Walmart's Cyber Intelligence Team, a dynamic group that operates at the heart of our Security Operations practice and maintains strong connections with other internal and external business partners at Walmart. We seek an individual who is well-versed and current in the intelligence field and the current threat landscape. The person in this role will be a driving force enabling our stakeholders to make more informed decisions.

What you'll do:

  • Conduct comprehensive research to understand threat tactics, independently review multiple intelligence sources to identify potential threats, and provide all-source intelligence analysis of cyber activities. This includes dynamic analysis to identify intrusions and monitoring external data sources to maintain current network defense threat conditions.
  • Summarize intelligence for key stakeholders, provide recommendations based on business requirements, and escalate cyber incidents as required. This includes troubleshooting cyber-related, data-related, or security incidents, analyzing incident reports and log files, and implementing approved processes or technologies to mitigate future cyber incidents.
  • Propose effective monitoring and detections and guide the development of new ways to process intelligence data. This includes evaluating the effectiveness of current techniques, directing improvements or modifications in view of emerging security risks and threats, and preempting risks, vulnerabilities, and threats across organizational policies and processes.
  • Contribute to the creation of short- and long-term business plans, identify critical success factors and key performance indicators, and make necessary trade-offs when recommending business decisions. This includes classifying requirements into applicable types, anticipating solution risks during the requirements gathering phase, and analyzing cybersecurity gaps to project business risk and impact on the organization.

What you'll bring:
  • Unwavering attention to detail.
  • Technical expertise with emerging technologies, online social behaviors, and foundational computer and network technologies (TCP/IP networking, operating systems, etc.).
  • Intermediate scripting or automation experience.
  • Familiarity with analytic tradecraft and research models such as MITRE ATT&CK and the Diamond Model.
  • Proficiency in threat hunting techniques and the ability to pivot from one set of indicators to uncover related threats.
  • A working understanding of current hacking techniques, vulnerability disclosures, data breach incidents, and performing security analysis techniques.
  • Experience researching and analyzing cyber threat actor tactics, techniques, and procedures.
  • Experience producing intelligence reports for a variety of consumers.
  • (Optional, but useful) Foreign language proficiency.

Reston, Virginia US-07759:The annual salary range for this position is $108,000.00-$216,000.00

Bentonville, Arkansas US-09050:The annual salary range for this position is $90,000.00-$180,000.00



















Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance bonuses.

Minimum Qualifications...

Option 1: Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, engineering, information systems, cybersecurity or related area and 3 years' work experience in cyber intelligence or related area at a technology, retail, or data-driven company. Option 2: 5 years' experience in cyber intelligence or related area at a technology, retail, or data-driven company.
