ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
* Assists in the development and updating of visual aids for classroom and manufacturing floor use.
* Assists in the development and revision of Job Instruction Breakdowns (JIB's) as needed.
* Facilitates technical training for new and existing employees.
* Records and maintains training results and reports.
* Participates with Human Resources and Training in determining the employee has been sufficiently trained and provide documentation of such per training guidelines.



SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
This job has no supervisory responsibilities.



QUALIFICATIONS:
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skills, and abilities required.



General Requirements:
* MOST IMPORTANT: Must possess the ability and patience to deliver skills, knowledge and desire to the person(s) being trained.
* Must be certified as a Peer Trainer (CPT)
* Must have proficiency with Excel, Word & Power Point. Knowledge in Photoshop or Printshop Pro is desired.
* Must possess the ability to learn all jobs related to specific division including but not limited to components, tape measure, label matrix, option codes and nomenclature.
* Must be self motivated.
* Must be willing to work flexible hours when warranted to satisfy the training needs of the plant.
* Must be willing to work in the jobs for which you are certified to teach to stay current on your understand of that job.



Education, Experience and Skills
* A high school diploma or general equivalency degree (GED) is required.
* A minimum of 2 years of manufacturing or assembly experience is required.
* Must possess excellent written and oral communication skills.
* Experience teaching or training others or experience facilitating discussion is desirable.



Language Skills:
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret common business documents such as but not limited to training documents, job instruction information, etc. Ability to listen and communicate effectively with co-workers.



Mathematical Skills:
Ability to apply basic mathematical concepts such as addition, subtraction, multiplication and division. Other mathematical skills may be required.



Reasoning Ability:
Ability to define problems collects data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an assorted number of tasks or instructions.



Physical Demand:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, kneel, bend, twist, and walk. The employee frequently is required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel and reach with hands and arms. The employee is required to speak and communicate with other employees, be able to hear well enough to recognize warning signals, forklifts, and announcements. Employee must be able to see different characteristics in wood products. The employee is occasionally required to lift up to 20 pounds and occasionally up to 50 pounds.



Working Conditions:
This is an indoor manufacturing environment. The noise level is usually moderate to high and hearing protection will be required in some areas. Safety glasses are required in all production areas. Other personal protective equipment, (ppe), may be required in order to perform certain job functions on the production floor. Occasional overtime and weekend work required.
