Tanager, Inc., is an information technology company that provides quality products and services to our customers nationwide. We currently have an opening for a Tier 2 IT Help Desk Technician to service one of our fortune 500 customers.
3rd Shift Night Position
Core Nights & Work hours - Sunday through Thursday; 10:00 PM to 8:00 AM or 12:00 Midnight to 10:00 AM.
Must be flexible to work day hours according to project needs if necessary
This is a remote position.
This position involves direct communication and support to cut over remote sites across the United States to a new technical solution. Excellent communication skills is a must along with attention to detail, reliability and desire to service the customer in the utmost professional manner.
Duties include:
- Advance preparation for staging of locations (Configure required files and tools)
- Remote software installations for customer sites
- Testing and troubleshooting technical deployments
- Working with customer site personnel via phone to coordinate technical cutovers
- Work with 3rd party vendors for support, as required
- Document and provide updates on deployment progress for each site.
Key Requirements:
- Familiarity with Windows & Microsoft office environment
- Ability to follow SOP's and a detailed checklist
- Strong attention to detail
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills required
- Strong troubleshooting skills (Windows and basic networking)
Education/Experience:
- 3 to 5 years of related experience
- Desire customer service and IT support experience (i.e. help desk functions)
- May consider college degree in lieu of experience
- Basic understanding of Windows 7 and/or Windows 10 operating systems
- Software installation experience
