The appointment can be made at any rank commensurate with accomplishments.

The University of Delaware combines a rich historic legacy in science and engineering with a commitment to undergraduate education and scholarly excellence. A Carnegie R1 institution with external funding exceeding $200 million, the University ranks among the top 100 universities in federal R&D support. The department is also the home of UD's Center for Cybersecurity, Assurance and Privacy (ccap.udel.edu).

Applicants should have a Ph.D. in computer engineering, computer science, electrical engineering or a closely related field at the time of hire. Applicants at the assistant professor level are expected to show significant potential to develop an internationally recognized funded research program. Applicants at higher ranks should possess a distinguished record of scholarship. The successful candidate is also expected to have an outstanding research and publication record, as well as hold great promise for teaching excellence at the graduate and undergraduate level.

Applicants should submit a single PDF file including (1) a cover letter (also mentioning the applicant's primary research area), (2) a complete CV with publications, (3) names of three to four references with contact information, (4) a statement of research vision and how it complements the department mission, (5) a teaching statement, (6) a statement on commitment to diversity, and (7) three sample publications at www.udel.edu/udjobs/. Questions may be addressed to the search committee chair, Professor Mark Mirotznik, at mirotzni@udel.edu. Review of applications will begin November 1st, 2022 and will continue until the position is filled; the anticipated start date is September 1st, 2023. The University of Delaware is committed to diversity in hiring; women and people from diverse cultures and backgrounds are especially encouraged to apply.
