Title: Temporary- Library Assistant
Institution: Volunteer State Community College
Job Summary:
This position is responsible for providing circulation assistance to library patrons and works on an as needed basis.
Job Duties:
Check out books and other library materials to library patrons. Shelve books and keep shelves in order. Answer patron communications and inquiries. Open and close the library as necessary. Answer telephone and direct calls. Other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Experience in a public services setting.
Strong interpersonal skills.
Proficient computer skills, including use of Microsoft Office.
Good communication and problem-solving skills.
Attention to detail.
Ability to work independently and as a team member.
Pay Rate: $14.00 per hour
Special Instructions to Applicants:

Applicants may be subject to a background check.
Work Hours: Part-time. Hours may vary depending on need.
