We are actively hiring for a Performance Engineer. Join us and support CSAA Insurance Group, a AAA Insurer, in achieving our goals.

Be responsible for the performance validation of a wide range of application systems using state-of-the-art telemetry systems and test tools. The successful candidate will have a passion for full-stack Performance engineering and can drive end-to-end Performance aspects of software systems addressing architectural issues, design alternatives, and tuning recommendations.

Essential Responsibilities

  • Actively participates in performance test workload modeling, script development, and execution of performance test suites to evaluate and provide technical guidance to improve system availability, performance, reliability, and scalability.

  • Works with Architecture and Application teams to assess potential impacts of new technologies & changes in software development releases and ensures the testing practice is up to speed to deliver high-quality software releases

  • Analyzes performance tests results, identify the root cause and provide recommendation for optimization, ensure timely proactive identification of performance issues and escalates issues as warranted

  • Hands-on experience with debugging and tuning of Application servers, JVM, GC, heap, and thread dump analysis, OS & database analysis, and related performance issues

  • Proficient in setting up APM tools like New Relic, Dynatrace, Splunk, etc. and have experience integrating with test tools and the ability to create custom dashboards

  • Experience with Load Testing tools like LoadRunner, Netstorm, Neoload, J Meter and Blazemeter

  • Experience end to end Performance testing with Java, Oracle, Linux, web services, REST API, and microservices tech stacks

  • Experience in Performance testing Digital consumer-facing web and mobile apps and layout excellent performance testing and tuning approach to enhance the end-user experience

  • Experience embedding Performance test in CI-CD Pipeline, including complete automation of the performance testing process to accelerate the speed of delivery

  • Experience with Cloud Performance Testing approach and Integrated Performance testing between Cloud and On-Prem applications - AWS, GCP, etc.

  • Utilize processes, data, and reporting tools like Jira and Graffana Dashboards that ensure project goals and internal/external customer expectations are met

  • Ability to work in a flexible schedule based on department and company needs

  • Bachelor of Science (B.S.) in related area or an equivalent combination of education and experience

  • Successful professional experience in the design, delivery, and support of complex projects across web platforms & mobile applications, with internal and external design, development, and quality assurance teams

  • Direct hands-on experience with the specific technologies used in the teams systems/solutions as called out in Skills section

  • Confirmed ability to deliver artifacts that set the bar within your team for engineering excellence, from designs to algorithms to implementations

Per Nevada SB293 we are disclosing the compensation, or range thereof, for roles that will be, or could be, performed in Nevada. If performed in Nevada, this position has a salary range of $89,505-$105,300. In compliance of Colorado's Equal Pay for Equal Work Act (EPEWA) we are disclosing the compensation, or a range thereof, for roles that will be, or could be performed in Colorado. If performed in Colorado, this position has a salary range of $85,255-$100,300. The role includes an opportunity for a company-wide annual discretionary bonus, through our Annual Incentive Plan (AIP), of up to 8% of eligible pay.
