POSITION: TSS ASSISTANT

CT1



SHIFT: 3RD





PURPOSE:

To install and maintain personal computer based systems and related software, networks, phone systems with support from the location TSS. Provide support for links between databases and C-N-C manufacturing equipment. Train new systems users.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

Essential functions are standardized. Resolves routine questions and problems, and refers more complex issues to higher levels. Assist in problem-solving support for company users. Installs and expands existing PC-based systems. Occasionally trains users in hardware and software applications.

DUTIES:


* Maintains computer hardware.
* Maintains phone systems.
* Supports links from databases to C-N-C equipment.
* Trains new system users.
* Submits SolutionCenter tickets to resolve system and hardware issues.
* Installs software updates.
* Installs new computer hardware
* Researches systems problems.

SKILLS:


* Knowledge of computer hardware
* Knowledge of computer networks.
* Knowledge of Microsoft Office software.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:

None

QUALIFICATIONS: (Education, Experience and Skills)


* Associates degree in Computer and Information Science, or equivalent level of experience
* Basic skills and procedures appropriate for the position; knows and uses the fundamental concepts of personal computers and information systems.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit and talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel and reach with hands and arms. The employee is occasionally required to stand and walk. Lifting requirements are typically less than 20 pounds on an infrequent basis.

WORKING ENVIRONMENT:

Typically works in an office environment or occasionally on or around the manufacturing floor. The noise level is usually moderate. Occasional weekend work required.
