Your Role:

The Technical Operations Director is a critical, high profile position reporting directly to the Executive Director of the ISC (Integrated Supply Chain). Strong leadership provided facilitates more informed recommendations and decisions about the strategic direction of ISC operating base. You will own the creation, documentation and functional alignment of site master plans to the product capability roadmaps in support of the business field strategy. As the leader for upfront scoping and program management of complex, cross-functional activities that impact current and future facilities and capabilities of the ISC, the incumbent interfaces with Technology, Supply Excellence, Engineering, and Execution.

You will interface with marketing leads and product managers to understand the business intent on requested additions or improvements to business field capabilities. The Technical Operations Director translates business requirements and strategic initiatives into detailed site assets, fulfillment processes, and capabilities via a Site Master Plan. You will analyze requirement gaps and create development plans based on real options. The Technical Operations Director coordinates scope development of options with members of ISC, Sourcing, Supply Excellence, Engineering, Technology, scaleup, quality, and analytical teams to recommend optimized solutions. It is the expectation that this role will evaluate viable options and recommend one that achieves the desired balance between low cost to serve, required flexibility, and customer satisfaction to enable the business to meet its profit and growth targets. Options that minimize asset investment are preferred. However, when new or improved asset capital investments are needed, you will be the primary ISC contact to engineering resources or site-based project engineers. For newly created assets, fulfillment processes, or operational capabilities the incumbent will act as the program manager to ensure a successful transition into the operating environment.

Additionally, the business field operates a returnable fleet model. These returnable containers are integral parts of the safe transportation of materials consumed by the business field customers. Very often the customers integrate these containers into their onsite or on tool delivery solution, making the reliability, quality and performance of these containers critical to the success of the business field service to the customer. Therefore, the Technical Operations Director will also have responsibility for container fleet engineering design and ensuing support. This responsibility will include working with suppliers of container parts and services toward a high quality and high repeatability product, working with our technology and operations teams to demonstrate and test container capabilities consistently across our ISC network, and supporting the failure analysis and continuous improvement of the container fleet.

In addition, you will support optimization of capacity utilization, productivity plans, and targets. In this role, you will contribute to Multi-Generational (rolling forward 3 yr view) Productivity Plans.

You will promote and nurture the development of a Continuous Improvement culture built around the principles of Lean Six Sigma.

Who You Are

Minimum Qualifications:

  • B.S. or higher technical degree, preferably in an Engineering discipline
  • Experience in a leadership position managing a team of professionals
  • 10+ years of relevant experience

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Business/Financial acumen to support financial modeling; MBA, a strong plus
  • Lean/Sigma certification is a plus
  • Ability to analyze complicated data sets and maintain data integrity.
  • Strong collaborator, self-starter with interpersonal and communication skills, especially across a matrix and global organization.
  • Solid program management skills with a disciplined approach; proven ability to influence and motivate team members from various support groups.
  • Understands the inherent EH&S and process safety risks of our systems and engages expertise to minimize company risk
  • Broad understanding of the semiconductor materials business and technology - products, customers, applications
  • Understanding of the capabilities and interactions between facets of the integrated supply chain in specialty chemical production systems
  • Focus on customer satisfaction with sensitivity to Quality requirements
