Job Description

Remote: This position does not require employee to be on-site full-time to perform most effectively. The employee's role enables them to work off-site on a permanent basis.

The Warranty Operations organization has responsibility for Global Warranty Operations and the GM Labor Information Database management. This position includes the application of warranties, interaction with multiple groups inside GM including the Labor Time Group, Finance, Safety, Audit, the Dealer Business Center and others. It is the center of warranty application for GM warranty claims.

Team Leader - Global Warranty - Labor Information System

Key Job Elements:

  • Business owner of the Labor Information System (GMLID)
  • Develop team members by embracing cultural values and providing developmental opportunities
  • Ability to participate in the development and execution of test cases dealing with projects associated with Global Warranty Management, and the avoidance of warranty costs.
  • Ability to perform Audit functions dealing with Global Warranty Management/GM Labor Information Database for SOX/Access Control Lists
  • Ability to convey to a multitude of different GM departments, the way Global Warranty Management and GMLID work.
  • Ability to view and recommend changes for the future picture in regard to Warranty Cost reduction and ease of claim payment for Dealers.
  • Ensure that Dealer Business Center (DBC) customer concerns are resolved timely
  • Maintain master warranties in SAP
  • Work with the Labor Time Activity Group to resolve labor time guide (LTG) issues
  • Communicate warranty changes to Finance including monthly/quarterly reporting
  • Global Focus

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor Degree or equivalent experience
  • Experience with leading a team; building relationships with team members
  • Knowledge of Field Service Operations, Aftersales
  • Lead unique, unusual and difficult problems and situations
  • Excellent Planning and Organizational Skills
  • Demonstrated commitment to customer focus
  • Strong analytical ability, communication and skills required to build relationships with team members.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple and difficult projects and assignments with high level of autonomy and accountability for results
  • Initiative for reaching beyond work assigned to improve output and/or help others
  • Strong interpersonal skills to work effectively cross-functionally and cross-culturally
  • Strong computer skills
  • Ability to work off hours to support Global Business Partners as required
  • Minimal domestic travel required

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Bachelor Degree in Engineering or Automotive Systems
  • Experience working with Global Warranty Management
  • Experience working with GM Labor Information Database

It is estimated based on what a successful Colorado applicant might be paid. Similar positions located outside of Colorado will not necessarily receive the same compensation. Actual salaries will vary and may be above or below the range based on various factors including but not limited to location, experience, and performance. The median level of salary compensation for this role is $109,283
