• Register Spencer, Spirit and Canada business locations for Sales & Use Tax, PST/GST/HST and E-commerce according to nexus mandates.
• Learn and prepare monthly sales and use tax reports for third party tax preparer.
• Prepare and review monthly sales and use tax journal entries.
• Reconcile Accounts to the General Ledger.
• Maintain Store Lists for Spencer and Spirit locations for opening, closures and process license renewals.
• Research new tax regulations to maintain the company's tax compliance and convey findings to Sr Manager.
• Ensure proper SKU taxability within our systems, to adhere to taxing authorities' regulations.
• Review and track tax notices and assessments from state authorities to ensure they are resolved timely.
• Assist with audits.
• Ability to prioritize, multi-task and meet deadlines.
• Support income tax process by inputting payments for accounts payable and state websites.

• Accounting knowledge.
• Ability to multitask and prioritize in high volume situations.
• Intermediate excel skills.
• Excellent communications skills.
• Related experience a plus.
• Knowledge of a third party sales tax software such as Vertex is a plus; Access, Excel.
