Montrose Environmental Group, Inc. is looking for a Talent Acquisition Specialist, responsible for understanding the assigned business line/specialty and creating active sourcing and talent acquisition strategies to pro-actively identify, attract, and hire the best talent. The Talent Acquisition Specialist will support ongoing internal and/or external recruiting needs by completing all aspects of candidate generation through hire. You'll need at least three years of experience in talent acquisition experience for all levels of professional, technical, and remote positions. This experience must include direct and indirect sourcing, screening and interviewing, management coaching for candidate selection, and development and presentation of employment offers.

A DAY IN THE LIFE

As a key member of the Human Resources team, this role will be responsible for a full range of activities including:
  • Lead full cycle recruiting within the assigned business line or specialty while continuously developing business knowledge and acumen of company and departmental objectives, industry and corporate challenges and current market dynamics
  • Lead a strategic focus area such as university relations, affirmative action plans, organizational outreach, new employee experience, or employer branding to help build talent pipelines
  • Use standardized screening techniques to assess the skills, qualifications and experience of potential candidates
  • Provide measured advice and strong consultative skills that result in value-additive talent acquisition partnership
  • Actively work toward building a diverse and qualified team to support the organization
  • Utilize applicant tracking system (Workday) to create job postings, review candidate pool with hiring managers, and develop/deliver offers
  • Work on recruitment projects to improve the overall efficiency and effectiveness of the talent acquisition function including candidate assessments, technology platform evaluations, interview guides, recruiting training for leaders
NECESSARY QUALIFICATIONS

To perform this job successfully, individuals must be able to perform each duty and responsibility satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.
  • A Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Management, or related field and/or combination of education and related experience
  • 3+ years of full cycle talent acquisition and recruitment experience in the environmental industry preferred
  • Demonstrated experience in the ability to manage, influence and challenge all levels of management.
  • Solid understanding of employment laws, EEO and AAP regulations and experience of ensuring compliance
  • Knowledge of and experience using recruitment and digital tools such as an applicant tracking system (Workday), electronic job boards (LinkedIn, CareerBuilder, Indeed), social media and the ability to proactively source and mobilize relevant candidates.
  • Experience supporting teams in remote locations and leading interview and training sessions
  • Travel: ability and willingness to travel locally and nationally to support recruitment activities in US and Canada, HR meetings, and recruitment programs (approximately 10%)
