Whether it's mild heartburn or a serious condition like Crohn's Disease, our digestive health experts specialize in diagnosing and treating gastrointestinal diseases. We use the latest diagnostic and therapeutic procedures to find out what's causing symptoms and relieve discomfort. Gastroenterologists offer advanced endoscopy and screening for colorectal, esophageal and liver cancer. 12,000 gastrointestinal procedures per year!

Responsibilities

The Scheduler functions under the direction of the Practice/Office Manager and Director of Practice Operations. Responsible for performing a wide variety of clerical procedures that requires independent judgment and initiative. Knows the existing lines of communication and authority, handles communications properly and is dependable and cooperative. Works with staff and understands appropriate scheduling process, willing to learn procedures/patient preps. Assist physician's and office staff with scheduling issues in a timely manner. Handle heavy phone volume. Must be flexible with work hours to meet department needs.

Qualifications

Required Minimum Education

  • Minimum High School diploma or equivalent.

Required Minimum Experience
  • 2-3 years of experience working in a surgical office setting or medical scheduling

Required Minimum Skills
  • Strong customer service skills, good communication and organizational skills. Basic insurance carrier and pre-certification knowledge and computer skills. Medical Terminology preferred. The individual must be able to communicate and understand verbal and written English language and display a positive attitude.
