Overview

In collaboration with and at the direction of the Training & Support Manager, this position is responsible for supporting all DC activities from a training aspect to ensure the shift(s) are run as efficiently, safely, and productively as possible. Help to identify process improvement opportunities and helps to execute lean initiatives. Performs all other duties as assigned.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for assisting in the development of training programs, as well as managing and monitoring implementation of those programs throughout the facilities.
  • Supervise the training personnel in their daily activities and contribute to the interviewing, selection, onboarding, training, motivating and performance management of those team members.
  • Provides leadership and oversight to shift team to ensure highest level of employee performance and morale while driving continuous improvement and managing change.
  • Ensures training records are up to date and accurate.

Qualifications

Education/Certification
  • Required: High School Diploma or GED
  • Preferred: Four-year degree in related field, i.e., Business, Training and Development or Logistics/Supply Chain Management
Knowledge, Skills and Experience
  • Required: Previous training & development and leadership/ supervisory experience
  • Preferred:2 yrs comparable work experience (comparable defined as the duties of a leader, similarly titled role)
  • DC or MFG operations and equipment experience a plus
  • General leadership experience in a DC or MFG facility
  • Familiarity with WMS ( Manhattan Software PkMS) a plus
  • MS office, especially MS Excel
  • Ability to effectively train program content in multiple ways to ensure learners understand the material based on their best ways of learning
