Job Summary:

Development of engineering stress and substantiationdata within budget in accordance with FAA, customer and HAECO Cabin Solutionsstandards of quality.

Essential Job Duties:

1.Befamiliar with HAECO Cabin Solutions' internal policies and procedures.

2.Haveworking knowledge of Federal Aviation Regulations (FAR's), AirworthinessDirectives (AD's), Alternate Means of Compliance (AMOC) and related regulatoryrequirements and processes.

3.Haveworking knowledge of aircraft design concepts and industry design standardsconsistent with HAECO Cabin Solutions' workload environment.

4.Underthe supervision of a senior engineer analyze structural engineering dataproduced by other engineering groups to ensure it meets the structuralrequirements for FAA certification.

5.Underthe supervision of a senior engineer check structural engineering data producedby other engineering groups to ensure it meets the structural requirements forFAA certification.

6.Underthe supervision of a senior engineer generate stress analysis notes in ausable, traceable file that serves as a historical substantiation record of therepair or modification.

7.Underthe supervision of a senior engineer develop, when necessary, finite elementmodels to aid in the development of design and certification data.

8.Independentlyor under the supervision of a senior engineer create, develop, and implementtest procedures as required to obtain certifiable allowables data for use byHAECO Cabin Solutions.

9. Have a workingrelationship with HAECO Cabin Solutions' Structures DER's and UM's to assurethat structures and interior related FAR's are addressed.

10.Underthe supervision of a senior engineer create and develop structural engineeringsubstantiation reports that will be used to certify repair and modificationdata.

11.Underthe supervision of a senior engineer provide technical support to HAECO CabinSolutions Production during the manufacturing and installation phases of HAECOCabin Solutions developed designs.

12. Under the supervisionof a senior engineer support other Engineering groups as workload requirementsdictate.

13.Haveknowledge of continuous improvement of various department procedures, controls,flows and systems.

14.Mustbe able to work assigned schedule with minimal absences.

Secondary Duties:

Performother duties and special projects as assigned.

Accountabilities:

Accountableto the Substantiation Manager in all daily functions.

Job Qualifications:

Minimum

1.BSDegree in Engineering or related scientific field, or equivalent combination ofexperience and coursework.

2.Three(3) years industry experience in engineering field, preferably dealing in thedesign of modifications to transport category aircraft.

3.Minimumtwo (2) years experience utilizing Solidworks (or comparable CAD program) withdemonstrable proficiency.

4.Mustpossess some knowledge of FAA regulations, certification processes and relatedrequirements.

5.Mustpossess knowledge of standard aircraft components, materials, fabricationpractices, aviation hardware and proper application in design.

6.Mustpossess knowledge of engineering principles used in 3D-computer modeling, andother analytical substantiation techniques.

7.Mustpossess knowledge of personal computer systems with Microsoft Office.

8.Musthave knowledge of the use and application of aircraft technical data such asengineering drawings, SRM's, MM's, SB's, IPC's, WD's, etc.

9.Mustpossess good oral, written, and organizational skills, and be able to read,write, speak and understand the English language.

Preferred

10.Experiencein commercial aircraft interior payload design and/or Interior monument design(Lavatory, Closets, Crew Rests, Galley design).

Physical Requirements:

1.Mustbe able to sit and work efficiently at video display terminals for extendedperiods of time.

2.Mustpossess the ability to maneuver around airplanes (i.e. climbing stairs, on workstands, man lifts, etc.) and in confined areas (i.e. cargo compartments, fueltanks, E/E bays, etc.).

3.Mustbe able to lift and carry 15 lbs.
