As a member of GM's Human Resources Group you are a Brand Ambassador who supports Global Talent Acquisition's vision and leads the recruiting process using technology, analytics, collaboration, and white-gloved customer service skills.

In Talent Marketing; developing and communicating relevant content with the potential employee audience quickly and effectively (particularly through visual mediums) is critical to our success. The content creator role reports to the Talent Brand and Engagement Lead and will be a key contributor in the development and execution of several important initiatives, including:

  • Story-tell and deliver the GM employer brand messaging through video, image assets, graphic design and other creative media that is representative and connective to the potential employee audience.
  • Create multi-media content that supports the larger talent brand and attraction team's strategic story-telling initiatives for all types of roles to be used in earned, paid and owned channels:
    • Work closely with the talent brand lead to ensure unified employer brand voice across all content.
    • Support the digital, social and paid marketing leads with content needs for various campaigns and outreach tactics.
  • Assist with development of virtual and in-person event collateral as needed
  • Ensure content is routed through the appropriate legal and brand counterparts for proper alignment.
  • Handle special assignments as needed, which may include occasional travel to GM facilities (including production facilities).

Additional Job Description

Qualifications:
  • Minimum 3+ years experience in content development and strategy.
  • Demonstrated success to fully develop/produce video and photography content (i.e. storyboard, capture/film, edit, etc.).
  • Experience with Adobe suite, Canva, Camtasia and/or other graphic design and video editing programs.
  • Experience with social/digital media & web content development.
  • Experience working with ambiguity.
  • Experience prioritizing and managing multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Experience working independently, yet effectively collaborating cross-functionally in a matrix organization.
  • Innovative spirit & collaborative mindset.
