Job Description

The Strategic Sourcing Specialist is involved in the strategic sourcing of multiple sourcing categories mostly across in US and Canada. They are responsible for source selection, contract negotiations and administration of complex multi-million-dollar contracts. In addition, they perform internal spend analysis, prepare bid packages, proposal analysis and evaluation, contract provision negotiation, supplier selection/recommendation, contract award and administration.

  • Category Management - Manages the strategic sourcing of various products and services across multiple business lines; performs the end-to-end sourcing and stakeholder engagement process. Utilizes multi-step sourcing to gather requirements, launch RFx initiatives, evaluate and analyze results, and communicate recommendations to all levels of the organization and external supply base. Drafts, negotiates, develops, and executes supplier agreements, statements of work, service level agreements, and RFx documents with the objective of creating strategic business opportunities and savings for the organization.
  • Relationship Management - Partners, interfaces, and builds relationships with internal customers to understand their requirements for products and services.
  • Supplier Management - Builds and maintains strategic supplier relationships to help reduce costs and eliminate inefficiencies. Ensures that suppliers and service providers comply with all service level agreements and regulatory requirements for the products and/or services that they provide.


Education and Experience
  • Bachelor's degree in Procurement and Supply Management, or Business Administration, or in a related discipline
  • 2-4+ years of Strategic Sourcing experience
  • Outlined above education and experience with a concentration on Professional Services, including HR, Legal, Real Estate, etc. (Preferred)
  • Experience working in E-Sourcing tool, Oracle iProcurement (Preferred)
Licenses and Certifications
  • Certified Professional in Supply Management (CPSM) certification (Preferred)

Computer Skills
  • MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and other web-based communication tools - Intermediate user proficiency
  • E-Sourcing tool, Oracle iProcurement - Intermediate user proficiency (Preferred)
