SUMMARY

The Strategic Engagements Specialist II is responsible for assisting in the intake, staffing, coordination, and execution of strategic engagement opportunities to build and strengthen the organization's relationships with key stakeholders. This role involves developing and implementing engagement strategies, collaborating with internal teams, and ensuring alignment with overall Agency objectives.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Essential duties and responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

Executes strategic engagement plans to foster positive relationships with key stakeholders.

Maintains a roster of past and future engagement activities and provide weekly summary report, typically in a "5W" format or an AAR format.

Builds and maintains relationships with internal and external stakeholders, partners, government agencies, and other key Department of Defense stakeholders.

Acts as a primary point of contact and action officer between the DCSC and key stakeholders, conducting initial intake and review of all engagement request.

Assists the DCSC to develop and implement communication strategies to effectively convey the organization's value proposition to stakeholders.

Advocates for the organization's interests through various channels, including public speaking engagements, presentations, and written communications.

Works closely with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment of engagement strategies with historic and developing operational initiatives.

Facilitates collaboration and communication among internal teams to achieve common engagement goals.

Plans daily activities within the guidelines of company policy, job description and supervisor's instruction in such a way as to maximize personal output.

Responsible for aiding in own self-development by being available and receptive to all training made available by the company.

Responsible for keeping own immediate work area in a neat and orderly condition to ensure safety of self and co-workers. Will report any unsafe conditions and/or practices to the appropriate supervisor and Human Resources. Will immediately correct any unsafe conditions as the best of own ability.

COMPLIANCE

Fosters an environment in which they will report any violations or reasonably suspected violation of CNI policy, FAR, and/or CFR and are comfortable discussing the myriad compliance, conflict, FAR, CFR, etc. issues that arise during the performance of a government contract.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE

Bachelor's degree and a minimum of three to five (3-5) years professional experience required. Previous agency or consulting experience a plus.

CERTIFICATES/LICENSE/REGISTRATION
Must possess and maintain a current Secret security clearance which requires U.S. citizenship.

JOB SPECIFIC KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES
Experience supporting the Department of Defense in the same or similar capacity preferred.

Strategic mindset with the ability to develop and execute long-term engagement plans.

Proven experience in strategic engagement, relationship management, or a related field.

Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.

Ability to articulate complex ideas and concepts in a clear and compelling manner.

Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.

Experience using data and metrics to inform decision-making.

Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.

Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build rapport with a diverse range of stakeholders.

LANGUAGE SKILLS

Excellent command of the English language. Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the public.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS

Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.

REASONING ABILITY

Ability to apply commonsense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

Exposed to general office noise with computers printers and light traffic.
