Strategic Account Manager - California Large Groups

Location: This position will work a hybrid model (remote and office). The ideal candidate will live within 50 miles of one of our Elevance Health PulsePoint locations in CA.

Responsible for the growth and retention of existing accounts to include upsells to a higher level of products/services based on business size and scope. Acts as a resource to team members and may assist with on-boarding of new sales associates.

How you will make an impact:

• Join forces with Account Executive to craft and implement a long-term strategic action plan for business recuperation.
  
• Collaborate with internal departments to revolutionize business operations and product/service delivery.
  
• Achieves retention and growth targets through expert execution of sales process.
  
• Cultivates deep trust-based relationships and develops comprehensive understandings of client needs and priorities.
  
• Acts as a consultative collaborative partner with brokers, consultants, and key decision makers.
  
• Develops strategic business plans to address broker and/or client needs.
  
• Conducts broker/agency education on pertinent topics.
  
• Acts as primary customer contact.
  
• Coordinates with internal partners to meet and exceed client expectations.
  
• Drives opportunities for additional growth and product sales.
  
• Be an industry and product expert at the local, state, and federal level; continuously updates knowledge in a rapidly changing environment.
  
• Provides consultative and strategic sales knowledge to Large Groups with a solid understanding of client and company objectives.
  
• Acts as a resource to team members and may assist with on-boarding of new sales associates.
  

Minimum Requirements:

Requires a BA/BS and a minimum of 6 years of sales experience; or any combination of education and experience which would provide an equivalent background. Sales license is required to be obtained and appointed within thirty (30) days of hire.

Preferred Skills, Capabilities, and Experiences:

• Expertise in Elevance portfolio application for multi-year sales strategies highly preferred.
  
• Proficiency in cross-segment collaboration to provide top-notch client experience strongly preferred.
  
• Aptitude for reviewing, editing written documents and coordinating with external vendors highly preferred.
  
• Proven health and life insurance account management experience most notably in Large Groups is highly preferred.
  
• Experience in project execution, project management, and process improvement with high level of execution focus strongly preferred.
  
• Knowledge of Medicare and Social Determinants of Health is highly preferred.
  
• Exceptional strategic thinking, decision-making, problem-solving skills, and adaptability highly preferred.
  
• Experience interacting confidently with senior management and executive level stakeholders, as a subject matter expert and comfortable with influencing decision-making preferred.
  
• Excellent written, oral, presentation and interpersonal communication skills with the proven ability to negotiate expectations between multiple parties strongly preferred.
  
• Proficient with Microsoft Office products, MS Teams and Salesforce highly preferred.
  

For candidates working in person or remotely in the below locations, the salary* range for this specific position is $81,840 - $147,312
