Position: Staff Software Engineer

Duties: Develop software for the next generation of challenges, including very high capacity, guaranteed availability, and mass market usability without compromising on quality. Understand the business, stakeholder, and technical requirements, storyboards, and similar artifacts of the scrum process, while working in an agile development environment with a quick turnaround time and iterative builds. Drive the discovery phase of medium to large projects to develop high level designs, classify the requirements into applicable types, anticipate the solution risks and issues during requirements gathering phases, and contribute to the creation of user stories. Create and configure minimalistic code for the entire product and system and ensure the product is meeting business requirements, non-functional requirements, low-maintainability, high-availability, and high-scalability needs. Engage in creating and maintaining environment configurations and controls for code integrity, while adhering to all relevant coding guidelines. Monitor code and configurations for multiple environments and release management processes. Assist in the selection of appropriate languages, development standards and tools for software coding and configurations, and evaluate trade-offs while designing components based on the business requirements. Build n-tier applications using RESTful Services, Java, J2EE, and related technologies. Build scripts for the automation of repetitive and routine tasks in CI/CD, testing, or any other processes. Implement telemetry features for production readiness and post production monitoring by determining data and metrics requirements within the domain. Ensure security policy requirements are properly applied to components and applications during code development and configuration. Work with small groups of engineers, including offshore associates, for assigned engineering projects. Track and analyze defects for the component or module and carry out regression testing to fix defects in all instances of code changes. Troubleshoot production issues by gathering information and engaging support teams to assist in the resolution of issues. Monitor and evaluate the performance of the application by tracking and analyzing appropriate metrics, perform maintenance (corrective, adaptive, perfective) and re-engineering activities. Ensure inclusion of business vision and industry trends to enable results that drive business. Engage in problem solving, troubleshoot design and development issues, and provide appropriate solutions. Communicate effectively with technical and non-technical cross-functional teams.

Minimum education and experience required: Master's degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering (Any), Information Technology Management, or related field and 3 years of experience in large scale enterprise software development environment; OR Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering (Any), Information Technology Management, or related field and 6 years of experience in large scale enterprise software development environment.

Skills required: Experience designing and implementing RESTful services with Java technologies. Experience with the following Java tools and frameworks: Spring, SpringBoot, Hibernate, and CXF. Demonstrated knowledge of the following Relational and Non-Relational database systems: Oracle, SQL, NoSQL, MongoDB, and CosmosDB. Experience working with distributed version control system: Git. Experience with continuous integration tools: Jenkins and Maven. Experience with Messaging Technologies: JMS and Kafka. Experience designing and implementing unit test, load tests, performance tests, and recovery tests. Experience gathering test results and performance metrics with JMeter, Junit, Karate, and Cucumber. Experience with the following cloud platforms and architectures: AWS, Azure, GCP, Cloud Native, and Kubernetes. Experience implementing telemetry, monitoring, and alerting features for production environments using Splunk, Grafana, OpenTelemetry, and Spotlight. Experience defining the architecture blueprint for the various components within a product or solution using the following modeling language models: UML, C4, and BPMN. Experience leading medium to large scale software engineering projects following agile scrum methodologies: Agile and Scrum. Employer will accept any amount of experience with the required skills.

Salary Range: $182,073/year to $286,000/year. Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance incentives. Additional compensation for certain positions may also include: Regional Pay Zone (RPZ) (based on location) and Stock equity incentives.
