At Intuitive, we believe that minimally invasive care is life-enhancing care. Through ingenuity and intelligent technology, we expand the potential of physicians to heal without constraints. Our mission is our guiding force; our culture is the DNA that makes us unique.

As a pioneer in robotic-assisted surgery (RAS), we have been expanding our innovations through technology to help make a difference in the world. For 25 years, human ingenuity has guided our journey to help solve some of healthcare’s complex challenges.

We believe a great idea can come from anywhere—inclusion and mutual respect are vital to our culture. We value character grounded in integrity, a strong capacity to learn, the energy to get things done, and diverse experiences to help us think in new ways. We actively invest in our team members to support their long-term growth so they can continue to advance our mission and strive to achieve their highest potential.

Join a team committed to taking big leaps forward for a global community of healthcare professionals and their patients. Together, let’s help to advance the world of minimally invasive care.

Patients first. Always. We design and build the world’s best surgical robotic systems.

Our surgical systems are deployed worldwide and help improve the lives of over 1 million people per year. Those people get back to their families and lives faster with less pain.

  • Implement Security hardening features in our Operating System software.
  • Bring up & integrate auxiliary peripherals such as touchscreens, wireless chargers, SSDs, USB devices, and FPGA firmware.
  • Diagnose and resolve Linux-related issues pertaining to functionality, profiling, performance, and stability.

Skill/Job Requirements:

  • Approaches any challenge with an eager, willing, and can-do attitude.
  • A natural communicator with high attention to detail
  • Experience in building various Linux distros, toolchains and device drivers.
  • Experience developing and maintaining Linux bootloaders such as u-boot or little kernel (LK).
  • Expertise in C or C++ programming languages.
  • Shell-script based development using bash and/or python.
  • Experience with two or more of the following peripherals: UART, I2C, USB, SPI, CAN, GPIO, PCIe.
  • Minimum, 10 years industry experience developing and supporting embedded systems.
  • Minimum Bachelors or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or related engineering discipline.

Nice to Haves:

  • Can understand and review board schematics.
  • Experience packaging custom Linux distributions with Yocto.
  • Familiarity with build scripts such as cmake or ninja.
  • Experience with development on NVIDIA Jetson System-On-Module (SOM) Hardware Platforms.
  • Past contribution to Open Source Linux projects.
  • Experience with non-Linux embedded Operating Systems such as QNX.
