Novelis Inc.'s Global Headquarters and Corporate office in Atlanta, Georgia, U.S.A. is seeking Senior Sourcing Manager of Strategic Projects to join their Procurement team. This position will be based in Atlanta in a hybrid position and require the ability to be present in the office each week to successfully perform the work.

The position will report to the Director Global Sourcing - Capex, and will be responsible for developing and improving upon the capital processes and the execution of large strategic capital sourcing projects, managing a team of project procurement mangers in all four regions (North America, South America, Europe and Asia) and work closely with the project managers and the Global Project Management Office.
Responsibilities & Qualifications

Responsibilities

  • Manage a team of project procurement mangers in all four regions and ensure sufficient onsite capital procurement resources of large strategic projects.
  • Develop a process and execute the governance for managing the strategic capital sourcing process. The governance will ensure competitive commercial leverage of similar assets across projects, early supplier engagement and on-boarding, and well-defined statements of work/requirements for (Big 8) strategic capital projects.
  • Work closely with GPMO and strategic consultants to establish a standardized project management processes with the focus on procurement and large capital projects
  • Work closely with Global Sourcing Managers who are the sourcing leads for main equipment and infrastructure.
  • Manage a team of project procurement mangers in all four regions and ensure sufficient onsite capital procurement resources of large strategic projects.
  • Establish solid governance and ensure compliance for strategic capital projects.
  • Lead sourcing activities for main Capital R&D projects.
  • Continuously improve procurement processes and ensure compliance.
  • Attend technical advisory committee meetings for big projects and present/report procurement related topics.
  • Support development of FEED studies for new large Strategic Capital Projects (alignment on costs, schedule and cash flow).
  • Additional responsibilities, as required.

Minimum Qualifications:
  • A Bachelor's degree with a focus in Business, Engineering, or related field.
  • Six or more years of CapEx project management.
  • Possess a demonstrated ability and willingness to be a team player as part of a bigger scope of multifunctional project team.
  • Strong English written and oral communication skills.
  • Possessing strong skills related to organization, influencing, and leadership will be critical to overall success.
  • Able to travel globally, if needed.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Certified Project Management Professional (PMP).
  • Preferably, 10+ years of progressively increasing responsibilities and experience in capital project management with budgets upwards of $100MM.
  • Procurement experience would be a plus.
  • Experience with Lean and Continuous Improvement.
  • Experience working with or in multinational companies.
  • Second language skills are preferred, but not required (German, Chinese, Korean or Portuguese).

Travel:
  • About 30% of the time, including to locations in North America, South America, Europe and Asia.
