Overview

Snap-on Credit, a world class provider of innovative tool and equipment acquisition solutions to Snap-on and its customers, is seeking qualified candidates with a general understanding of Lease / Loan accounting (finance company, banking, etc.) for our Libertyville, IL office.

Summary: Assist the Operations Specialist Supervisor and EC Operations Manager with day-to-day activities of our front and back end finance operations. Requires thorough understanding of general accounting principles and how they apply to related work assignments to aid in daily reporting, balancing, and support desk account adjustments. This position will also be the back-up to the Operations Specialist role.

Responsibilities

Major Responsibilities:

• All accounting related reconciliations including sub ledger, analysis related to receivables, balancing and individual account reconciliations
• Handle the support and maintenance of all US Extended Credit, Lease and Franchise Finance accounts in finance system
• Payment posting to include ACH/Direct/Manual/Western Union and Credit cards
• Thoroughly test any new IT projects that will impact Operations processes
• Continued development, improvement, documentation, and training of all procedures
• Operations Specialists duties including: data entry into designated systems for credit adjudication and documentation, review and communication of transactional information with field sales personnel, and performing proper due diligence of documentation to process contracts and audits

Qualifications

Requirements:

• Four year college degree
• 5+ years related experience
• Excellent organizational skills and the ability to prioritize workload with multiple tasks
• Effective communication skills, both verbal and written
• Ability to build effective relationships and be a team player
• Good teaching, training, and presentation skills
• Thorough understanding of accounting principles and general ledger accounts
• Extensive knowledge in Lease/Loan systems

Hours: Normal working hours; extra hours expected as needed (including month-end coverage)

Working Environment: Normal office environment, light travel but some occasional international travel
