Job Description

Position Summary

• The Senior Network Engineer (LAN/WAN) is responsible for the firm's LAN/WAN/Wi-Fi network infrastructure which includes routers, switches, firewalls, Wireless Access Points, and various data circuits etc. The Senior Network Engineer will also be part of the Network Engineering team that will evaluate, design and document networking solution for public, private and hybrid cloud infrastructure for the firm.

Representative Key Responsibilities

• The Senior Network Engineer will be responsible for the upkeep and wellbeing of the firm's backbone, which includes architecture, design, installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of all network related infrastructure.
• The position will include responsibilities in designing, planning and implementation of the firms' cloud solutions.
• Scale cloud services to serve growing business needs and implementing effective security strategies for both on-prem and cloud strategies.
• Collaborate with other infrastructure teams to implement both on-prem and cloud solutions and provide the technical guidance, design specification and solution level support for connectivity, integration, and application migration.

Required Education, Knowledge and Experience

• Candidate must have at least 5+ years of experience with Cisco IOS/NX-OS-based routers, switches, and systems.
• Candidate must have experience with ordering, installing, configuring, and troubleshooting data circuits such as T1, DS3, Metro Ethernet, and MPLS circuits.
• Candidate must have experience with the setup of cloud connections to Azure and AWS such as Express Routes.
• Candidate must have experience in setting up and troubleshooting of TCP/IP v4 protocols.
• Candidate must know the specification, programming, and troubleshooting of routing protocols such as OSPF, IEGRP and BGP.
• Candidate must know the specification, installation, programming, and troubleshooting experience of
  • Cisco routers ASR1002X, ISR4331, ISR4351, and C3945.
  • Cisco switches C3750X, C3850X, Nexus N9K-C9300 data center and remote office switching,
  • Cisco 5508 Wireless LAN controllers and Wireless Access Points.
• Candidate must know the specifications, installation, programming, and troubleshooting of Cisco ACI, Cisco SD-Access, and Cisco SD-WAN, APIC, DNA Center, Prime, ISE, and CDO management platforms.
• Candidate must have the ability to work with VLAN's, 802.1Q trunking, switch and AP port security using 802.1x via Enterprise PKI.
• Candidate must have the ability to install, operate, and troubleshoot Cisco NX-OS.
