Reliability Business Unit Lead

Join an exciting opportunity to be part of a brand new, highly automated facility for Hill's Pet Nutrition! The Reliability Business Unit Lead (Sr Maintenance Tech) position will join a growing team focused on start-up activities, establishing systems, and developing materials for equipment and Maintenance.

This position will be a link between Operations and Maintenance/Reliability on shift providing direction for monitoring and technical troubleshooting of Key Performance Indicators. This position will utilize software analytics to compile information on equipment performance. Based upon this data, the Reliability Business Unit Lead (BUL) will work closely with the Maintenance Planner and other Reliability BULs to help plan and schedule time-base work orders (PMs) to specific situations (Work Orders) or Autonomous Maintenance (AM) activities, focusing on equipment, time and effort needed.

Starting $36 per hour and up based on experience

Principal Duties and Responsibilities

• Monitors equipment performance using appropriate software such as Augury, Everactive, and Wonderware, among others. Continually analyzes data and metrics to make recommendations for Maintenance activities based upon data analysis.
• Works with other Reliability Business Unit Leads, Operations, and the Maintenance Planner to develop detailed schedules for Maintenance activities. Reviews, prioritizes, and provides input for schedules for work orders, up/down time PM's, and AM activities utilizing SAP software.
• Coordinates effective PM Execution. Provides relevant information for daily and weekly maintenance meetings. Communicates progress back to the Operations Team.
• Manages and maintains the SAP PM system. Responsible for work order integrity reviewing accuracy, clarity, part & equipment identification, and status of work orders and providing feedback to the originator as necessary. This also includes updating equipment masters, creating and updating equipment BOM's, creating and updating PM plans, supporting Predictive Maintenance plans, and PM optimization based upon feedback from maintenance technicians and focus resources.
• Works closely with Maintenance Techs, Area Leaders, Team Leaders, Focus Resources, Engineers and Operations Technicians with root cause analysis to identify reasons for equipment failures.
• Works closely with Storeroom resources to ensure availability of incoming and outgoing maintenance parts for PM's, rebuilds, work orders and storeroom.
• Functions as an SAP Power-user and assists in training and support of SAP systems as needed.
• Identifies and reports Food Safety and EHS issues / work orders to management through a weekly report. Understands and complies with Hill's policies, safety standards, Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) and Food Safety. Identify and report Food Safety issues to management.
• As needed- BUL will cover for the Maintenance Planner. This will involve scheduling work orders for maintenance technicians and outside contractors as managed through a detailed plan. This fill-in work may be completed on the BUL's normally scheduled shift.

Education/ Experience Requirements

• High School diploma or GED equivalent
• Minimum of 5 years maintenance experience or Technical Degree with minimum 3 years maintenance experience
• Proficient with an office suite software for business such as: Microsoft (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) or Google (Docs, Sheets, Slides) and email (Outlook, Google Mail, Lotus Notes)
• Industrial equipment-related and technical expertise to troubleshoot technical issues, determine root cause and provide guidance on improving Preventive Maintenance activities
• Performance in good standing (Individuals with an active PEP at any stage are not eligible)
• Electronic Maintenance Work Order System experience

Preferred qualifications include:

• Previous SAP-PM/EAM experience,
• Excellent written and oral communication skills,
• Technical Degree in relevant or related Field
