Role Overview

The Novelis North America Finance team is looking for a Senior Financial Analyst, IT located in Atlanta, Georgia. This role will report directly to the Finance Manager, NNA FP&A with a dotted line to provide exceptional financial business partner support to the Director of IT in NNA. The primary focus of the NNA IT Senior Financial Analyst is IT departmental cost controlling and associated communications and reporting. The Senior Financial Analyst will be working with IT, Finance, and Business functions throughout the NNA region and Corporate. This position will be expected to meet frequent deadlines in a fast moving cross functional environment.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for NNA IT budgeting and forecasting management is $47 million for NNA IT inclusive of project and non-project OpEx and CapEx
  • Lead the monthly financial reporting package including variance commentary for management teams both in NNA and Global IT
  • Provide accurate and timely reporting of information that will meet company requirements as well as maximize NNA IT's contribution to the overall financial success of the company
  • Responsible for fiscal fitness and cost optimization of NNA IT department
  • Constant communications to all levels of the organization on the financial health of projects along with risks and other concerns
  • Prepare cost estimates for NNA IT strategic projects as well as responsible for the RFA review of investments
  • Drive opportunities for improvement in financial performance
  • Manage project budget spend within Plant and Regional teams
  • Responsible for managing investments with Regional IT projects
  • Responsible for financial controllership of Regional IT strategic projects as part of the overall Global IT enterprise strategy
  • Accountable to NNA and Global IT Finance Leadership to prepare special reports, projects, analysis and assignments as required
Responsibilities & Qualifications

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business or a related field, or equivalent years of related work experience required
  • Strong business acumen and problem-solving skills, along with the ability to assess current practices, identify opportunities for improvement, build consensus and drive the implementation of related changes.
  • Strong ability to build and strengthen team engagement and align resources to strategy, key tactics and measures; proven ability to establish clear aligned goals and objectives with a timely feedback loop.
  • Previous experience compiling and analyzing budgets/forecasts preferred
  • Previous experience supporting a PMO and exposure to Portfolio Management Tools, such as ServiceNow
  • Previous experience with PowerBi is a plus
  • Strong use of Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, Visio, PowerPoint, Teams) and Sharepoint in preparing documents, spreadsheets, charts / graphs and presentations
  • Working knowledge of ERPs (i.e. SAP, Oracle), IT Financial Management Applications (i.e. APTIO), and best Technology Business Management (TBM) practices is a plus
  • 5+ years of financial analysis or accounting experience
