JOB SUMMARY

Plans, secures, and markets adequate supplies of energy commodities to meet the company's needs. Develops and maintains relationships with existing and new customers. Develops and continually grows customer supply and sales agreements. Develops forecasts of needed supply, transportation requirements and available storage of natural gas or natural gas liquids using broad regional knowledge.

SPECIFIC AREAS OF FOCUS

  • Experience in Natural Gas Supply
  • Permian focused background preferred

WHAT YOU WILL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR
  • Develops long-term supply agreements regarding transportation and storage arrangements
  • Ensures all contracts and transactions are conducted within prescribed legal and the company's policies and procedures
  • Identifies and executes new long-term supply opportunities, then partners with the Commercial and Trading functions to determine prices and contract terms for profitable
  • Brings broad regional knowledge and expertise to collaboration with the Commercial and Trading functions to determine pricing and terms of new contracts
  • Negotiates gas purchase or natural gas liquids marketing contracts with customers as well as with transportation organizations and storage operators as required
  • Administers, monitors, and looks for future opportunities in existing purchase and sale contracts
  • Leads and has accountability for projects, ongoing activities, and objectives
  • Leads financial analysis, project approvals, ongoing customer engagement and strategy efforts within specific function or region with minimal oversight
  • Acts as a resource, guide, and mentor for lower-level Commercial Representatives
  • Performs other related duties to meet the ongoing needs of the organization

QUALIFICATIONS
  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Finance, Business Administration or a similar degree field and/or equivalent experience
  • A minimum of 5 years related experience is required although employees typically have 7-10 years; oil and gas industry experience preferred
  • Proven leadership skills and ability to influence at a local level and across a broad organization
  • Strong communication skills, interpersonal skills and ability to build relationships
  • Ability to work independently with minimal guidance from leadership as well as part of a team

SPECIAL DEMANDS
  • This job primarily operates in a professional office environment and routinely requires the use of standard office equipment such as computers, phones, copy machines, etc. Noise level is typically low. Frequently in a stationary, sitting position for prolonged periods of time. Regularly moves about inside the office to complete tasks, attend meetings or to access the copy machine or file cabinets. Periodically pulls/pushes doors open to move around the office. Occasionally may lift and carry objects up to 20 pounds.
  • Occasional travel will be required
