Our Kent location at OMAX is currently recruiting a full-time Software Tester. In this role, you will be responsible for the following:

  • Manual and automated testing of OMAX systems and software, looking for bugs, potential problems, and performance issues to facilitate continuous product improvement; waterjet operation is required for some testing
  • Application of Root Cause Analysis in order to identify and reproduce issues
  • Documenting test results in a clear, concise, and organized manner within the test management environment
  • Test Help documentation for accuracy, completeness, and clarity; assist in writing, proofreading, and maintaining Help documentation
  • Occasionally assist with technical customer support


Qualifications:
  • Self-motivated, but a team player with excellent communication skills
  • Must have exceptional problem-solving skills
  • Experience debugging and testing software
  • Ability to perform impromptu testing/debugging
  • Proficient at writing test cases and plans
  • Experience with C# or C++
  • Knowledge and understanding of different types of testing (Regression, Sanity Pass, Language verification, etc.)
  • Ability to create automation scripts programmatically
  • Ability to analyze complex information
  • Capable of managing multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
  • Proficient in operational aspects of Windows operating systems
  • Desire to learn intricate details of complex software and hardware products
  • Experience creating and maintaining comprehensive documentation
  • Experience with machine tools and/or CAD/CAM a big plus
  • Willing to roll up your sleeves to get wet and dirty
