Zurich (Anoka, MN) seeks a *Software Engineer to be responsible for Policy Servicing application development for the Rural Community Insurance Services line of business. Specific duties include: designing, developing, implementing and supporting highly complex Winforms applications using advanced knowledge of technologies; solving technical problems around application system design, performance, scalability and system/product stability; evaluating systems specifications for desktop application requirements and determining/implementing the most efficient and cost-effective software solutions; researching and tracking new technologies, developing service applications, and analyzing business requirements for Crop Insurance agents and other internal business groups; monitoring system quality assurance and consistency with installation and security policy and standards; providing direction and guidance to less experienced staff; providing application support to the CIMax application; and attending to application and server related issues such as defects in the software. Option to work remotely.

Position requires a Bachelor's degree, or foreign equivalent, in Computer Science, or a closely related field of study. Position requires 5 years experience in the job offered, or similar position in the Application Design and Development Area. Must have 5 years of experience with each of the following: working with application development and implementation; and working with SQL development. Must have 3 years of experince working with implementing client server web applications. Must have at least 1 year of experience developing VB.Net WinForms applications. Additionally, must have experience with Visual Studio, Azure Dev Ops, VB.NET or C#, SQL Server, T-SQL, SSRS, Crescent quikPak, Spread 3.0, Adobe Acrobat Pro, A-PDF Watermark, IBM I Access for Windows, Angular, JavaScript, and Bootstrap.
