Job Summary
The Software Engineer will work within a team to develop test automation software and tools to expand the team's testing capabilities and will work to develop automated tests for new communication card software. The team is responsible for validation/verification of multiple products, including communication cards, gateways, on-prem software solutions and will include development of web UI tests, functional tests, and setup of test automation for Vertiv products.

Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with other engineering groups, team leads, and product management to design, document, develop, and maintain test automation software and tools to meet our product validation needs.
  • Develop test software based upon product requirements and design.
  • Analyze, troubleshoot, and debug test software and product interactions.
  • Create documentation, specifications, and requirements of test tools for software projects.
  • Create product test plans and test-cases from product specifications.
  • Report activities, project status, and plans to team lead and management.
Requirements:
  • BS Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering or related technical discipline.
  • At least 3 years' experience in a similar role
  • Python development experience
  • Bash scripting experience
  • Linux experience
  • Selenium experience is preferred, but not mandatory
  • TCP/IP networking and Wireshark experience is preferred, but not mandatory
  • Robot Framework and Jenkins experience is a plus
  • Internet applications protocol knowledge is a plus
  • Clojure experience is a plus
  • SNMP experience is a plus
