As a Service Tech III at United Rentals, you'll use your skills to perform maintenance and repairs on complex equipment in a safe and professional manner. Additional duties include the following:
* Safe maintenance and repair of a variety of complex rental equipment involving mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and diesel systems
* Assist in the training of lower level technicians as needed
* Maintain paperwork/electronic documentation of work performed (work orders) in a complete and timely manner on a daily basis
* When required, travel to customer job sites for repair/maintenance of rental or customer owned equipment; must maintain service vehicle in a clean and professional manner
* Assist with pick-up and delivery of equipment & parts
* Other duties assigned as needed

* High School diploma or equivalent
* Valid driver's license with acceptable driving record
* 3-5 years of experience repairing/maintaining equipment and tools
* Advanced mechanical aptitude and working knowledge of tools
* Strong mechanical background knowledge of various engines
* Must own tools applicable to position
* Superior customer service, teamwork and verbal/written communication skills

When required travel to customer site for repair/maintenance of rental or owned equipment:

* Maintain a service vehicle in a clean and professional manner

* May assist in the pick up and delivery of equipment and parts to and from outside vendors and other United Rentals, Inc. locations for purchase and/or repair

To be qualified, candidate must have a minimum of 3-5 years experience repairing and maintaining Specialty Tools and equipment. The ideal candidate will be familiar with electric equipment such as hand tools, power tools, air tools, nuts, bolts, electronic controls and other small parts. Knowledge of OSHA safe working practices is recommended. Strong verbal and written communication skills and understanding of RentalMan and the rental flow and work processes are also valued in this role.

Superior customer service remains the backbone of United Rentals, therefore your willingness and ability to provide this to each customer makes you a top-notch candidate. A high school diploma is required and a technical school certification is preferrred. A valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record is required.
