Meet the team:

As part of our Business Transformation and Operational Excellence team, the Senior Staff Program Manager of Master Data Governance (MDM) owns the creation and evolution of governance policies, standards and processes for managing master data at Dexcom. You will work alongside data scientists, data architects, domain owners, and leadership to drive overall enterprise data governance and visibility of ownership and data quality.

Where you come in:

  • You will maintain the overall vision, mission and strategy with data governance and MDM across Dexcom ensuring data quality persistence.
  • You will drive domain level master data management that ensures data is relevant, consistent, reliable and trusted.
  • You will manage governance by domain to maintain continuity with each domain's ingested data and associated attributes.
  • You will leverage data stewards to maintain the catalogue and glossary platform continuity and overall data quality with domains ingested, report regularly on overall progress and issues to address.
  • You consistently stay ahead of new product features and releases plus service delivery changes impacting data and provide governance foresight and expertise to begin managing these future data features.
  • You will establish the domain governance roadmap for deployment into our Alation platform and deliver on time and within budget.
  • You will drive strategic initiatives within Master Data Management Governance and support development of long-term growth and profitability goals.
  • You will report on progress, key KPI's and overall MDM governance organization performance.
  • You will provide regular, periodic updates on progress and be able to present to executive staff on MDM performance.

What makes you successful:
  • You have demonstrated experience leading Master Data Management or relevant discipline in a global organization.
  • You leverage your collaboration skills to work with product/business owners, corporate/business strategists, and other architects (enterprise, data, solution, services, infrastructure, solution, and technical architects) to develop various views, viewpoints and lenses.
  • You have experience utilizing a data governance platform (i.e. Alation or others) within an organization to manage data quality, attributes and access visibility.
  • You have deep program management experience handling multiple projects and initiatives within a global organization.
  • You use your communication skills to evangelize the discipline of master data governance.
  • You have the ability to operate at a strategic level as well as drill down deep into details.
  • You are competent with presentations to executives and have strong interpersonal skills meeting the needs of all levels within the organization.
  • You are able to lead or participate in cross-functional teams.
  • Preferred life science or medical device industry experience preferred.
  • Preferred program management certification or equivalent.

Experience and Education:
  • Typically requires a Bachelor's degree and a minimum of 13+ years of related experience.
  • At this level a graduate degree may be expected with 6 years of related experience.

Flex Workplace: Your primary location will be a home office. You will not have an assigned workstation and will work with your manager to determine office visit needs. You must live within commuting distance of your assigned Dexcom site (typically 75 miles/120km).
