We are looking for a Senior Software Engineer to provide technical leadership and work closely with research and engineering teams to develop service-oriented applications. Additionally, this role requires to interface with product management and other senior engineering leaders to design robust, scalable cloud software that meets both the immediate and future needs of our constantly evolving business environment. This position is currently remote but may be hybrid so our search is local. The GN office are located in Glenview, IL near the Glen.

Desired Qualifications

• Degree in computer science, engineering or equivalent
• 5+ years of experience as a Software Developer
• Demonstrable experience with Microsoft Azure is a must
• 3+ years of development experience in C#, MVC, .NET Core, ASP.NET is a must
• 3+ years of experience with SQL Server Database and non-relational Databases like Azure cosmos or Table Storage
• Experience in solution design, hands-on development, testing, and deployment of complex web applications is required; 1+ years of experience in Angular and JavaScript is a plus
• Experience in Cloud development is required
• Experience in working with version control systems like TFVC and Git is required
• Experience with Visual Studio Team Services (VSTS) and Team Foundation Server (TFS) is a plus
• Working experience with Scrum/Agile development methodologies to manage multiple software products
• Eagerness and willingness to learn new technologies
• Excellent written and oral communication skills and experience in working with Global teams
• Expertise in implementing and consuming web services
• Ability to perform code review and debug code; capacity to work independently
• Experience with Microservices, container technologies like Docker / Kubernetes is a plus
• Experience in Web Security using SSO & Token based authentication mechanisms like oAuth with OpenIDConnect is a plus
• Proficient with design, widely used design patterns, development, and maintenance of Continuous Integration systems is a plus
