Position: Senior Software Engineer

Duties: Communicate project status and information to stakeholders and leadership via presentations, technical reports or white papers that adhere to product requirements within stringent SLA's. Collaborate and analyze system and data requirements from architects, data engineers, data scientists and product managers and conduct feasibility analysis to build software solutions. Generate models and simulations using automations tools to predict and analyze system performance for variable customer traffic and operating conditions. Test, debug and troubleshoot using web service and IDE tools such as Mockito, Postman, and Intellij. Use distributed and cloud computing design concepts to build applications software and web solutions. Participate in analysis, development and testing of complete application systems. Research for applications catering to business solutions and build those applications with optimal design and architecture for business use case. Ensure system meets company's best practices, standards and principles with focus on stability, interoperability, portability, security and scalability. Build data pipeline streaming solutions with Google Cloud Platform and Microsoft Azure to transform large volumes of data (on schedule or event based) between systems. Create and maintain framework and application which can archive and audit large volume of data with Apache Kafka streaming services at massive scales required by business. Provide use cases for reuse of applications with Walmart hence saving on business cost. Validate system and application stability, interoperability, portability, security or scalability of system architecture. Evaluate security risks and perform security analytics of developed and packaged software. Analyze current or emerging technologies for factors such as cost, portability, compatibility and usability. Establish system standards for code quality, operations and design that team should conform to. Design and develop large scale e-Commerce streaming data solutions to support entire software development lifecycle.

Minimum education and experience required: Master's degree or the equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering (any) or related field and 2 years of experience in large scale enterprise software development environment; OR Bachelor's degree or the equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering (any) or related field and 5 years of experience in large scale enterprise software development environment.

Skills required: Experience building and operating distributed data pipeline applications in an enterprise production setting for large volumes of data within cloud environments using programming languages including Java or Python. Experience designing and developing dynamically scalable applications with MicroServices. Experience writing development, unit and integration testing code using object oriented and functional programming languages using Java or Python. Experience operating and maintaining code pipeline using continuous development and continuous integration tools including Jenkins and Brazil. Experience testing, debugging and troubleshooting using web service and IDE tools including Mockito, Postman, and Intellij. Experience designing and implementing highly scalable applications using middleware components including Simple Queue Service. Experience building and scaling application persistence solutions using Relational Database Management Systems. Experience using NoSQL database solutions using DynamoDb to build storage solutions for scalable applications and operate them in a high-volume production setting. Experience with appropriate logging, metrics and monitoring experience using tools including cloudwatch tools and operationally handling reliable services including Splunk and Prometheus ensuring critical business SLAs are met. Employer will accept any amount of experience with the required skills.

Salary Range: $182,073/year to $234,000/year. Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance incentives. Additional compensation for certain positions may also include: Regional Pay Zone (RPZ) (based on location) and Stock equity incentives.
