Overview

Reporting into the Director, IT Service Management & End User Support Services, the Senior ServiceNow Developer IV will join a team of IT Service Management professionals responsible for providing exceptional IT services to the organization. With a focus on the ServiceNow platform, the Developer will act as a senior member of the team assisting with the development and implementation of the IT Service Management roadmap. The Developer will be responsible for the continuous improvement of the IT Service Management platform (ServiceNow), while also playing a key role in the overall strategy and execution in the areas of Configuration Management, Asset Management, IT Service Portal/Catalog, Incident/Problem/Change Management, API integrations, Automation, and Performance Analytics and reporting. The Developer will also be responsible for the operational support of the ServiceNow platform providing issue resolution and request fulfillment.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for researching, planning, coordinating and delivering solutions for the ServiceNow platform
  • Partner with business stakeholders to understand requirements and provide best practice advice on how to enhance the ServiceNow implementation
  • Establishes, architects and manages system integrations in ServiceNow
  • Create and configure Business Rules, UI Policies, UI Actions, Client Scripts, Custom modules.
  • Researches and applies available ServiceNow hotfixes, patches and upgrades while ensuring configurations and customization's function as expected.
  • Manage incidents/problems related to the ServiceNow platform Develops and manages service portal and catalog items.
  • Develop and manage operational metrics reporting and dashboards.
  • Ensures that service requests for new users, reports and other requests related to ServiceNow work are prioritized and completed.
  • Develops business rule workflow customization's in ServiceNow.
  • Identifies, analyzes and resolves data and system issues of intermediate complexity.
  • Successfully plan, execute, monitor, control, and close all technical tasks related to configuration and implementation of all aspects of the ServiceNow platform.
  • Provide software coding and customization including, but not limited to: screen tailoring, workflow, administration, report setup, data imports, integration, scripting, third party software integrations and custom application development.
  • Update and maintain a comprehensive testing protocol for ServiceNow instance upgrades with the purpose of certifying all applications for use after the upgrade completes.
  • Develop, maintain, and execute reports to ensure system operation meets performance targets.
  • Create and maintain system design and operations documentation.
  • Work with support team to ensure documented technical process and procedures follow ServiceNow best practice guidance\
  • Monitor health, usage, and overall compliance of ServiceNow and its applications.


Qualifications

  • 5+ years overall experience in IT Infrastructure.
  • 3 + years overall experience with IT Service Management platform administration.
  • 2+ years overall experience with Service Now
  • Strong foundational knowledge of IT Service Management.
  • Strong technical knowledge of the ServiceNow platform including but not limited to ITSM, CMDB, ITAM, ITOM
  • Fundamental understanding of the key technologies relevant to the ServiceNow integration solutions including: ServiceNow API's, SSO, SAML, SSL, Web Services, LDAP, JDBC, ODBC, REST, SCP, FTPS

Experience with web portal development skills, such as JavaScript, HTML, CSS, Angular JS, bootstrap
  • Proven experience coding java script and CSS.
  • Proven ability to coordinate cross-functional teams with minimal supervision.
  • Proven ability to innovate and execute on business objectives.
  • Ability to communicate clearly and concisely across technology and the business teams.
  • Excellent ability to align business process and requirements with a technical implementation.
  • Exceptional communication skills both written and verbal.
  • Experience working with Agile principles and Scrum methodology.
  • Proven ability managing IT Service Portal, Custom Integrations, and best practices around CMDB, ITAM, and reporting and analytics.


Experience:

College Degree preferred

ITIL Certification preferred
