Job Summary

The QA Analyst will ensure quality of delivery by writing and executing test plans and cases covering client specific deployments of standard and custom configuration. Projects will range in size and span both new implementations and subsequent consulting efforts across the entire suite of Allvue offerings.

Responsibilities

• You will be part of Professional Services function supporting testing both Credit and Equity applications for both standard implementation and custom client work.
• Ability to analyze user requirements and define impacted areas from any development change/s to be included in test scope in order to be regressed.
• Be able to identify task dependencies for releases.
• Lead creation of QA Artifacts which includes creating test plans, test cases, regression scripts, and test reports.
• Be comfortable providing QA estimates for task level.
• Gather, analyze, document, and test requirements for unique business scenarios that differ across clients.
• Execute test cases, report defects, and verify defect resolution.
• Log and monitor defects and features in our internal tracking system.
• Promote continuous improvement by always considering more cost efficient and effective ways to improve quality.
• Troubleshoot custom reports, panels, and workflows using advanced query analysis skills.
• Influence the growth of our product and QA practices using feedback from clients and solutions.
• Offers advice on process improvements and solution.
• Apply broad knowledge to identify and resolve core problems.
• Apply judgement to adapt defined processes and procedures to ambiguous situations.

Requirements

• At least Bachelors' degree from a university
• 3 + years of QA Experience
• Proven ability to proactively learn new business requirements with minimal training
• Enthusiasm for finance, testing, and technology
• Good understanding of the testing process, methods and concepts
• Good knowledge of defect life cycle
• Excellent QA skills in finding defects
• Structured and Strategic: meeting deadlines, setting priorities, responsiveness, scheduling
• Generally, knows who can answer questions across departments
• Experience in writing and keeping up to date test documentation
• Experience in working with Microsoft SQL Server Management Studio and knowledge of SQL
• Understanding of Agile/Scrum
• Time Management Skills to meet goals and timelines
• Someone who thrives in a fast-moving environment and can successfully manage multiple competing priorities and timelines
• Exceptional communication skills (written and verbal) and be adept at listening and soliciting feedback

Education/Certifications

• At least Bachelors' degree from a university
• 3 + years of QA Experience
• Any Scrum, PMP, or QA certifications is a plus
• Experience with financial domain apps testing and desire to work in this domain
