Overview

The Senior Merchandising and Marketing Analyst has mastered the responsibilities and job functions of the Merchandising and Marketing Analyst position. This individual also demonstrates a leadership role among all Brand associates and can assist the Sr. Managers with training and day-to-day responsibilities.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with the hiring and training of Merchandising & Marketing Analyst associates
  • Demonstrates the highest level of job knowledge and willingly shares knowledge with associates
  • Exhibits leadership qualities and is extremely team oriented. Acts as a "go to" person for members of the Brand team
  • Must be able to work independently and without direct supervision
  • Develops Pricing and margin requirements for seasonal new product using corporate established strategy
  • Participates in budgeting, finance, and strategy meetings with management team
  • Develop divisional sales programs for new product launches in conjunction with Sales & Brand Team to focus on achieving top line sales budget
  • Reviews reporting and forecasting data with sales and planning teams
  • Responsible for adhering to company T&A calendar. Ensure all seasonal development tasks are achieved by goal dates listed
  • Responsible for seasonal graphic reviews across divisions with art team members
  • Responsible for Catalog layout, Proofing with conceptual direction from Sr. Manager of Division
  • Creates and maintains the seasonal system product line plan for division with established vision from Division Management
  • Works in conjunction with Division Management and Creative Design Team in the development of new seasonal products by division
  • Develops all tools for seasonal line development including color thumbnails, new product detail pages, developmental binders and sample collection pages.
  • Executes Seasonal Samples Plan in conjunction with Division Management, Sales and Graphic Art Team
  • Executes all SMU programs. Includes initial program development, program maintenance and tracking
  • Supports Manager of Division in development of Marketing Concepts with ID Group, including signage, fixtures, packaging, digital marketing, concept shots and assortment plans
  • Development of label and hangtag concepts
  • Responsible for creation of Sales Tools (Product launch kit, planograms, trend support, etc)
  • Responsible for tradeshow and sales meeting product presentation and set up
  • Monitors and analyzes competitive environment to develop greater knowledge of pricing, product and programs in the market
  • Provides product presentation support for customer visits
  • Travel to gain insight from field reps and for market research
  • Other duties may be assigned as necessary

Qualifications
  • Minimum of three years of experience in the Merchandising & Marketing Analyst II position or 5+ years of related experience
  • Must possess intermediate computer knowledge and be familiar with Microsoft Office Suite including Word and Excel
  • Discoverer and /or MAC experience is a plus
