The Senior Manager, Digital and Web Strategy is responsible for setting the strategy and driving the development of UVA Health's digital marketing and online presence in support of the mission and goals of UVA Health. This role requires a senior leader who can translate business goals into tactics and team efforts that achieve defined metrics. The Manager must also work in a hands-on capacity to develop team skills, implement systems and troubleshoot issues.

The Manager will have a two-part role across UVA Health's digital Marketing and UVA Health's web presence. A large portion of the Manager's role will be to drive projects, both internal to marketing and external across the health system, that introduce or improve digital systems, technologies and performance. The role requires the ability to learn and implement simultaneously, as well as manage a team that is distributed across work areas.

Web Responsibilities:

  • Develop, enhance and manage uvahealth.com and the related CMS, analytics tools and web services.
  • Coordinate with content and video teams on all web and campaign content needs.
  • Develop, enhance and manage UVA Health's blogs, microsites and campaign pages.
  • Manage external and internal web development resources.
  • Manages the workflow across the team and aligns the priorities and projects to the department and health system goals.
  • Use proven understanding of UX, IA, graphic, video, social networking and other technology skills to support and maintain dynamic content for all sites and audiences.
  • Produce or work with other marketing groups to produce service-specific content with the goal of engaging and informing patients and other audiences.
  • Keep current and continuously seek out new technologies and applications that help UVA Health achieve its goals.

Digital Marketing Responsibilities:

  • Implements and manages digital online marketing campaigns across all programs and services.
  • Works in tandem with others in marketing and service lines to develop campaign content and assets.
  • Works in tandem with others in marketing to create integrated campaigns involving both online and offline components.
  • Work as part of the marketing team implementing the new CRM platform.
  • Responsible for meeting key performance indicators and measuring the effectiveness of campaigns.

Other Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for digital and web budget and related accounting.
  • Works collaboratively to deliver a consistent, high-quality visual style across all properties, campaigns and efforts.
  • Recruits, manages and professionally develops a high-performing team of digital marketers.
  • Stays current on new technologies and recommends and plans for content enhancements to the system.
  • Communicates clearly to express thoughts and ideas.
  • Manages multiple projects effectively.
  • In addition to the above job responsibilities, other duties may be assigned.

Requirements:

  • A minimum of 10 years of experience in the digital space and 5 years of management experience is required.
  • Bachelor's degree required, Master's degree in a relevant field is a plus.
  • Experience working in a large matrixed environment, highly desirable.
  • Detail-level knowledge of digital technologies, platforms and related network and media concepts.
  • Significant experience managing large platforms, applications and providers.
  • Excellent writing, presentation, editorial and communications skills are required, along with the ability to manage multiple projects dealing with multiple constituencies.
  • The ability to learn and develop new, relevant technology skills when required.

Physical Demands:

This is primarily a sedentary job involving extensive use of desktop computers. The job does occasionally require traveling some distance to attend meetings, and programs.

Position Compensation Range: $96,907.20 - $155,043.20 Annual

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

Education: Bachelor's degree. Master's degree preferred.
Experience: 10 years of experience in the digital space and 5 years of management experience is required.
Licensure: None.

This is primarily a sedentary job involving extensive use of desktop computers. The job does occasionally require traveling some distance to attend meetings, and programs.
